Things are the way they are because they are. I wouldn't give up, I think a lot of people have lost interest and an upvote that used to be worth $300 is now $25, but if you enjoy writing and other people can see that I think ultimately you'll end up getting payouts.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
