An Introduction to Sothearath Seang...

Greetings Steemians :)

My name is Sothearath and I am really excited to be part of this community! Yes you may not have pronounced my name the right way or at all but that's okay, to make it short and simple, people call me Sothé. I am polyvalent, very open-minded and down to earth, love fluffy dogs, cats, to travel, laugh, play sports, talk in public and last but not least, EAT. I like playing guitar (electric mostly but also arpeggios on classical), rugby (competed in high school), ping-pong (same), basketball and bowling!

I am a Sino-Cambodian that is why I look more like a Chinese / Korean than an actual Cambodian. I write and speak French fluently, with no accent. In fact, I grew up and lived in Cambodia for twenty one years but went to a French high school since kindergarten. Why is that? At three years old, I did not get to choose which school I go to, pretty much like everyone. So it was a great school and my dad put me there. I moved to France in 2015 for my Master's degree in Sustainable Development and now I am pursing my PhD degree in Economics.

Besides doing research and teaching, I have travelled a lot thanks to my involvement with the International Organisation of French-Speaking countries - Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). It has allowed me to work in a multicultural environment and learn a lot about diplomacy and parliamentarian affairs. Below is a selfie of my colleagues, me and the Prime Minister of Canada, Justing Trudeau at the 16th Francophonie Summit in Madagascar!

I also take great pleasure in talking in public and compete in public speaking competitions.

Currently I am working on complementary currencies and the blockchain technology but that does not mean that my posts will only about them topics. I might look like a very academic person but the truth is that, I am just a very curious person and often, I am more practical than sophisticated.

My purpose here is to be as informative and useful as possible to the Steemit community on a wide range of topics such as travel, crypto-economics, research, music, my bi-culture and pretty much any experience, stories and passions of mine that I want to share with you here and keep you going! By being niformative, I hope to bring reliable and new information and by useful, I mean anything that can be beneficial to your knowledge, reflections, aspirations and even happiness - if something makes you laugh or smile, it may not useless after all. And I will try to abide by the S&C principle (I made that up) which is Short & Concise writing: use short sentences, bring out the essential and simplify as much as possible.

As I am new and seeking people to follow and explore more of the community, feel free to follow me so that I can follow you back! I also appreciate constructive feedbacks and different opinions so do not hesitate to leave comments on my posts!

Thank you for your time and à bientôt ;)
