Hello people,
I already published my post for the day which you can check here:
However, I was also busy doing some other things which I felt like sharing with you guys tonight.
Finally, I had an idea for the @cryptoempire RPG Game to make it even more profitable to those playing it, and I'm going to talk about it too.
So, here's a quick Sunday evening update...
Two New Dbooks.org Books:
I did an article on the new @dbooks.org which you can check here in which I talk about how I love the idea of this brand new platform.
I also told you guys that I had 2 books there already, and I wanted to make sure the team behind @dbooks.org knows I support them so I took some time off this weekend to ensure I was able to publish some more material there.
I published 2 new books on the platform in 2 different categories.
I'm going to talk about them next...
STEEM Visions: A Newbie's Take on Steemit
This books is a compilation of my first Steem Blockchain posts ever.
You'll see an unfiltered mash up of content from my first days on Steemit and exactly what I thought about it.
I'm speaking about the good things, the bad things, the really bad things and the knowledge I've got throughout the way.
It's interesting to see my evolution as you go from chapter to chapter.
Check it out and don't forget to click the heart at the top right corner :)
STEEM and Crypto Gaming: A Mix of Games, Blockchain and Crypto
This book is all about the healthy mix of game economies, Steem, tokens and Virtual Reality.
This is a light read of a dozen pages in which I have 4 chapters describing my vision for the future of gaming and how crypto will be involved.
I also talk about how I see parallel economies appearing, especially with the Virtual Reality worlds coming in full force!
An entertaining read for those who like gaming.
Again, the way to help show you liked it is by clicking the heart symbol.
A @CryptoEmpire Idea: Sponsored Quests!
You've probably noticed that last week there was no quest. Well, that is easy to explain.
We distribute 95% of the income the bot has, we distribute all the profit from the bot's post and comment rewards and we also distribute the profit from the bot's own SP.
That means we give people who delegate virtually all the money, keeping only something like 0.1 SBD per day.
After a week, we don't even have 1 SBD, and I just paid out 2 SBDs for quests so I'm running a loss.
I disabled the quests for the week just because I couldn't run a loss two times in a row, and @norwegianbikeman expressed his desire to help.
I CAN'T take money from people, but if some big steemians want to sponsor a few quests, just let me know, I'd gladly let you pay for a quest or two, and you'd transfer the funds directly to anyone who would succeed in it, so you'd be 100% sure your funds would be given to people who fulfil said quest.
Just let me know if you're interested in this, but again - it's not mandatory, I'll gladly take a loss every other week, just can't do it every single one.
Cheers!

I will sponsor a quest for 10 SBD, or 2 quests for 5 each or however you think would work best. Let me know!

I'll be reading your two books. Both pertinent to the cause of prospering her on Steemit. Plus great to know there is a such thing as DBook.org. I can see you are reaching out. I'm willing to take your hand. Thanks.

I tried a quest and made .1 completion. Others with much more power finished their quests, no problem, and earn the quest reward. Isn't this just a rehash of how steemit tends to trickle most of the money towards the highest earners? That's the only thing stopping me from sponsoring further. I don't want to just hand my profits over to the higher profiteers. And I would like to see the bot owner making more profits, but maybe that will happen easier when steem value goes up.
Anyway, I'm having more fun playing the game, and earning rewards in the background, than playing the game strategy in order to win rewards. I don't want to take it that seriously, and I don't want other players getting mad at me for roleplaying diplomacy in a way that might harm their earnings. Ever played RISK? Yikes, I'd had friends who wanted to murder me at the end because I would set up secret alliances which they argued were against the rules, yadda yadda. It's just a game, but it is fun to win too.
I hope I don't die in this game due to a random number generation.

Well, it's hard to get killed here, you'd have to go on dangerous quests alone to do it, kinda like @underground did.
Plus, people who delegate more have advantages of course, but that is a rewarding mechanism to grow the bot. Having said that, people who play their cards right can also make their way towards the top as someone can't possibly specialize in every area of the game, some unlocks make others in other areas more expensive or even unnatainable.

And of course I'd also like to see more income to the bot owner :P
