STEEMIT Infographic: Voting Power Distribution

in steemit •  7 years ago

Hello there!

I'm not an Artist, and it shows, but I've seen a very cool post by @arcange and thought to create an Infographic out of it. (https://steemit.com/statistics/@arcange/steemit-statistics-20180114-en)

I also love the SteemitBoard website (steemitboard.com) and as such found that the icons from there were a good starting point. I adjusted them to better fit this infographic and collected the numbers from the original post. SteemitBoard is a project by @arcange and @techybear so give them a follow as if you like these numbers they are the ones to credit.

Here's my take on the numbers. I always use Steemit on NightMode so I adjusted the look and feel of the infographic to reflect the look and feel of MY steemit, but I am aware most people use the white interface.

Check it out, I'm not an artist so some things are off, but I loved doing it and felt like sharing.

i need to make some comments to vote myself and of course a bit for your content :)

Ohh i thot i would earn you something small. Well i tried ☺

Lol, sneaky

you could be more generous to the creator of content

He gave me an upvote worth roughly 0.07 I think. lol

LOL

That happens a lot!

Anyway, you did a decent job of the graphics. Thanks.

I always toggle to night mode too. Helps prevent eye burnout and doesn't mess too much with one's circadian rhythm.

Toodle pip, old fruit :)

Cheerio Old Chap :D
I hate white screens.

Haha

i see this.... hahahahahaha

That's an interesting graphic. Thanks for linking back to original post also. Do you know what rep levels correlate with each "fish level"? Like at what rep level would one no longer be considered a red fish for example?

You can check your name on Steemit boards to know what category are you in.

Now I understand what you were saying about the RedFish and the Whale.

Nice tips about the steem board.

I'm going to follow closely!

There we go, steemitboard is our Hall of Fame. We could make that our desktop picture, OUR STEEMIT PRIDE !!!!!!!!!!
I still go to work hard though, can't display it yet =P still a red fish

Yeap, I'm still a red fish over here too.
We'll grow asia, we'll grow...
Cheeers

It would be useful to know what amount of power one needs to have to be on each tier.

Indeed. Most people know it so I didn't think about it, but that's a nice pointer!

The inactive ones are many! Step by step to the 1 percenters (whales) ☺

Actually, summing the numbers up, 1% is everything from goldfish above.

Hello, thanks for the visual.
Lots of shares belonging to inactive accounts... How does it affect the value of participating accounts?
Is there an initiative being formulated to curve this, if it is consequential?

Those accounts do not claim rewards anymore, so they create no loss... about the steem power in those, they act like wallets, it's like if you had a wallet you didn't use.

That sounds agreeable, thank you for your illuminous elaborations.

Whoa! There so many dead fishes in here. (I have a feeling that others quit the platform when their efforts came to fruition)

Yeah, a lot of people feel lost, publish content that never gets seen, get in for spamming and give up once they see it isn't that possible and so on...

True and that's why this platform is still on beta phase.

Nicely done. I think you did a great job with the logos.

I prefer them to the originals. I like your idea about always using in the night mode, I honestly forgot it existed. Until now. Thanks

White hurts my night-hawke eyes :D
I really prefer the dark version.
Cheers!

I've seen this chart ... a lot like me) but in the future I hope to see that the middle class will prevail. The main thing is that users increase their voice power

Agree! Im powering up constantly!

I see that you succeeded in this :) Soon you will move to a new level - an excellent result

Im still a redfish so I have a looong way!

You are so thoughtful, thanks for sharing with us @spiritualmax

You're welcome!

Vote for myself comment is not effective!
Am i right?

steemit is very much like us and we work here, but if you did not make it very nice and artistic, then it's a lot better

good

Hmm, think there might be a wealth of information hiding in that "Inactive Accounts" mountain. Were these mostly previous redfish who gave up? Old swarms of vote by proxy accounts now drained to zero SP ? Would be really interesting to do a breakdown along multiple axis .

Interesting! Didn't know that yet. But at how much steem power do you get to a level of gold fish or dolphin?

Have a great day!

SteemitBoard,we welcome your support for beginners.

A proud redfish over here, trying to get out of the pond. Do you take vest to make the groups?
