What's Up With @TrevonJB: Steem Rejects a Scammer

So, if you have not being sleeping under a rock you'll see that there is a lot of ruckus going on between the Community and TrevonJB.

@berniesanders already grabbed his shiny red flags and went on a flagging spree, while @themarkymark rallied botmakers to blacklist the guy.

But in all of those posts and on Trevon's posts as well I see a lot of questions regarding the situation.

Why is this happening?

What did he do?

This post will discuss that, as I think it is vital for the community to know what's going on. Steemit is rejecting a scammer, as it should be.

BitConnect, LendConnect, Ponzi Schemes: Pyramids!

Well, BitConnect was the core of this member's activity. You see, there was one thing he always said he knew and one thing he always said that he didn't know.

• He didn't know about Crypto Currencies;
• He knew about the "risks" of BitConnect;

However, him knowing BitConnect was a scam... or him knowing about the "risks" didn't make him warn his faithful community of YouTube followers.

In fact, he did the opposite.

He went out of his way to promote the scam, and to recruit as many people as he could.

Here's a video of a guy that doesn't mention the Youtuber's names, but you know well who he refers to in some sections of the video.

Sometimes, when we're talking about these things, we forget about the faces of those who were scammed.

We forget about the fact that they are not just numbers, they are names, they are parents, they are sons, they are victims.

A lot of lives were ruined, and granted those people could have researched the program... but many had Trevon in a position of awe and on a pedestal of credibility, giving them all of their trust.

Trevon betrayed their trust.

I have a little community here, the Crypto Empire, and you've probably seen its banners around. We are a very tight group and we trust each other. They also trust me and because I am the founder and try to give the example, they have confidence in my words...

You can never betray your followers, and this guy sold them out. Not only that, he came to Steem with the money to spend... not on others of course, on printing his own tokens through the exploitation of the system.

And here the Flagging begins.

The STEEM Community Knows What a Ponzi Is

Unfortunately for Trevon, the Steem Blockchain community knows about Crypto and they know about Ponzi Schemes as well.

So, it was only a matter of time until they noticed the user, and how he was using bots to print more money and to collect a lot more followers.

@berniesanders started flagging, @themarkymark blacklisted him in his bot @buildawhale and started rallying others.

There are a lot more names involved in this, but these are the ones that have been jumping on everyone's sight.

The Law: I Fought The Law...

Now, things are beginning to escalate, because not everyone can steal millions and get away with it.

I still don't know what this means, but seeing it is probably enough for you to take a wild guess:

Now, the environment is getting heated up and his following on Twitter has went berserk on him - you can only take some much bread of one's mouth before he rebels.

A user even joked with all of this by commenting:

Now, I will end this by taking a shot at those who are taking things too far.

Yes I realize what he did was severe, but I saw a video that made me shiver.

In this clip, people were telling everyone about where he was living, together with pictures of his wife AND BABY and urging people to go there...

...THIS IS NOT SOUND ADVICE.

Man, let justice take its course, and by all means lets kick him out of Steemit.

BUT DON'T BECOME ANIMALS!

There's a fine line none of us should ever cross. I don't know what the idea was on sharing that info and a picture of his family who has nothing to do with it and urging people to seek revenge and justice by their own hands.

But if you do it... you're retarded!
