Hello Steemians.

As a decentralized training center, we teach on just about everything that is geared towards improving the individual who in turn will impact positively on the Steem ecosystem.
Today's teaching is quite different from the regular, so you need to read every word carefully and happily.
Welcome to today's session!

So, you've heard about Steemit and here you are, after registering and waiting patiently to get approved, you are here. So there are some few things you need to do to keep being here and doing well here.
Here are a few things you need to note before you start off and while you are blogging.

image.png

First off, STOP BEING SARCASTIC! Steemit is Real. So be cool and relax, you're at the right place and at just the right time.
Steemit isn't a fancy money making program or some stupid matrix or Ponzi scheme, this is a decent and well thought out network and we really mean to keep it that way. And what's more? You ain't spending a dime on this, so give this an optimistic try.

WE ARE ABOUT LOVE

image.png

This community preaches and practices Love. If you've read some of the posts on here, you'd have understood that already, don't expect to barge in here and spread Fear, and doubt (FUD), hate speeches and expect people to go along with it. It most likely won't get you the attention you want.

TIME + GOOD WORK = MONEY.

image.png

Whatever you were told about making money instantly as soon as you arrive here was obviously a joke and we'd hate to bust your bubble but, this won't be a cake-walk. This isn't some social network where you keep posting crap and your friends like it anyways because they know it's you... nah! tsk tsk. You will have to put in the work, and as well give in the hours to get there. Money won't come from doing nothing and it most certainly don't grow on trees, and it certainly won't start growing here on the Blockchain.
You want attention? You want feedback? Then, build your blog, furnish it it is your shop front!
Post the right stuff "good contents" and do so consistently. We believe in Value, offer value and you will get paid. If you build it, they will come!
What's that formula again?

TIME + GOOD WORK = MONEY.

Good, never forget that!

DO NOT RUSH IT.

image.png

If you are like most people, you'd probably wanna skip the "Welcome page" because you feel it's not important.
Well we think it is important, so do your first best by going through all that text, so that you get to know exactly how things work and they won't seem complicated to you afterall.

Take the time to go through others' blog posts, study how they communicate with others, learn how posts are built up, learn how it flows, get to know the terms, get to know what tags would work for you, explore the various niches available to you and pick the ones you might find intriguing.

KEEP THOSE KEYS SAFE.

image.png

It is your sole responsibility to keep your password and keys safe as *Steemit doesn't keep passwords for anyone. So when registered, stop for a moment and backup those all important password and keys or else you risk being locked out of your account.
Also be sure to take note of the valid email and phone number you provided during registration.

Be on the lookout for phishing sites that tend to mimic steemit.com. Carefully scrutinize every site requiring your your login details, be careful where and how you enter your master password.
I use my master key for daily posts.
That is a very risky thing to do. It is advised to make use of your posting keys during login day in day out instead of your Master Key, that way, you are safe from unknown fund transfer should your Master Password fall into the wrong hands. Should you find yourself in a situation where your password is compromised, can just as easily use you master password, login and make the previous key obsolete.

Unless you are making some transfer, do not use your Master Password for making posts.
be advised.

YOU WILL BE FLAGGED.

image.png

Be rest assured that this community frowns at plagiarism and infringement of copyright laws.
Doing either of these will get you nowhere twice as fast than you would have progressed. Stick to the rules of posting, indicate references and sources appropriately.
If you're flagged and convicted, your reputation will take a fall for it. Trust us, you don't want this to happen to you!

BE ORIGINAL.

image.png

By all means be yourself, it doesn't cost you anything. Blogging should be fun and exciting when you talk about things that you're interested in. Be free, make meaningful contributions to conversations you like to indulge in. "Communicate, reach out and make friends with people out there."

When in doubt in what to write about, take that time to check other people's posts, join in the discussions, ponder on these posts. This could really give you some good ideas to write on later.
Also, make sure to be genuine and real. Stalking and click-baiting is frowned upon here.

DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T GIVE IN!

image.png

Starting out tends to be a rough ride without support, so much that you'd probably feel unloved and would want to quit. Well, don't worry, it won't always be that way.
It would help to think of the bigger picture, make plans on milestone evaluations on the long run.

Also, there are various support groups for newbies on discord. There's the PAL channel, STEEMGIGS, STACH, STEEMNAIRA, etc. You might want to check those out and make yourself available for meet-ups. These discord channels are there to train you on becoming better at blogging and doing great stuffs on Steemit.
Take @stach for example, where you'll be well grounded on the right mentality for Steeming as well as the dos and don'ts of the community.

FINALLY, communicate, communicate, communicate!

image.png

This cannot be overemphasized in every case, one of the key rule to knitting a community together is communication. Why else would it be called a community?
So go ahead, Blog, Share, Interact, Earn and have fun while at it...

Be sure to follow @stach for more tips on settling and being a great Steemian.
