How are calculated the profits of a post?

Hello everyone, I see post with 100 upvotes and the many comments that have generated a few dollars, while others with less than half of the upvotes and comments also have 100 times as much. I think it has nothing to do with steem power, because for example, I saw a user with only 6 steem power to generate some dollars for a post with 10 upvotes and 3 comments, when, with the same result I get 0.02 dollars.

However, I would try to invest in steemit but I can not risk losing the important cash. After the hack attacks and these new limitations to the growth of the community I do not know what the best thing to do.

Dear friends with more experience, help me with your wisdom to better understand this project and how to move in the best way.

It is not so much as to how much the posters have, but how much the voters have that upvote a post. Also if you vote on something that has a lot of votes behind it already your vote can be worth dollars. If you want people you vote up to get more, you can get more steem power.

That will not make your posts more valuable though. You need others voting for your post. To that you need to write quality posts.

I am not one you should ask, how to write a good post that the whales will like but generally speaking the cream rises to the top. Go look at Trending. No one liners. Lots of posts about the site and platform, and an occasional post about a tourist. Funny how there's very few travel posts with men on the top. Hmm
