It does not affect you directly. But of course, if you lose followers, you lose people who will see your posts and so it may have an effect on your earnings ;) And to your second point: The lists show your followers and the people your are following in real time.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
