For those of you who know what @steeming-hot is about, you will know that I try my best to promote good content.
I believe that good content should be rewarded and bad content should not reap the rewards. There are the good bots which enrich steemit and then there are the bad bots, which spam the platform in the hope on getting rewards.
In our effort to promote better content we are now pleased to announce our spam fighting effort.

Blacklist checks

 
@steeming-hot is now fully integrated with the global blacklist API which has been built by @themarkymark
This API works with many of the large and well known blacklists like @buildawhale, @steemcleaners and @minnowbooster.
The black list check will apply to everyone so that includes delegators, top upvoters and followers who are eligible to use the service.

By enabling the blacklist checking we are able to ensure that steemit users who are writing good content are better supported.

How it works is for each winner that is selected we will check that winner against the global blacklist API, if that person is found in the global blacklist they will be removed from the @steeming-hot winners pool and another winner is picked.
So if it's a delegator that is blacklisted another delegator will be selected, if it's a top upvoter who is blacklisted another top upvoter will be selected and finally if it's a follower who is blacklisted then another follower will be picked.
