in steemit •  7 months ago

This week we move on to Week 6 of Season 17 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

There are seven more contests from the Engagement Challenge Communities.

Make sure you enter as many of the contests as you can, and vote and comment on other entries, to be in with a chance of winning the prize votes from @steemcurator01.

Steemit Engagement Challenge Contests

Here are the contests for Week 6 of Season 17 of the Engagement Challenge…

These contests will run from today until 11.59pm UTC, on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.

To have the best chance of winning in the Steemit Engagement Challenge you should enter as many of the contests as possible - but you can only enter one contest each day.

For your entries to count in the Challenge you need to receive at least 10 upvotes and at least 5 relevant and proper comments - so encourage all your friends and fellow community members to vote and comment on your posts!

You must be in #club5050, #club75 or #club100 to take part in the Challenge.

Make sure you also carefully check the rules of each individual contest.

Steemit Engagement Challenge Rewards

The Challenge communities must ensure they promptly check and comment on all contest entries. The minimum they should check for are #club status, Steem exclusivity, plagiarism and bot use.

To help @steemcurator01 and @steemcurato02 curate the contest posts more effectively we are looking for community Mods to use a clear, simple and easy to read comment format.

Communities are free to design their own comment formats but it is ideal if all Mods in a particular community use a common, standard format.

At the end of each weekly contest all seven Challenge communities should make a post on their community account announcing the three people who have demonstrated the most engagement in their weekly contest both through the quality of their contest post and the quantity and quality of their comments on other people’s contest posts.

We will leave it to each community to decide how they select their weekly winners, but they should include in their announcement posts a brief summary of their selection process.

All the Season 17 weekly winners, as well as the community announcement posts, will receive extra prize votes from @steemcurator01.

We hope you have all enjoyed taking part in Season 17 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Look out for more news about the Challenge on @steemitblog and in the selected communities.

Thank you

I'm excited to dive into the diverse contests of Week 6 in Season 17 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. It's not just about winning; it's about connecting with fellow users, sharing our passions, and celebrating our community's creativity and engagement.

说的真好

We will leave it to each community to decide how they select their weekly winners, but they should include in their announcement posts a brief summary of their selection process.

This is the problem
This statement gives the communities the ability to select anyone
And we are not allowed to call them out as no one follows up on the issue

It is well

Do you want the Steemit Team to select winners 🏆 for the communities? Since the Steemit Team has saddled the responsibility of conducting contests to communities, I guess it's still right for communities to choose winners.

It is important you know that before selecting winners a lot of things are taken into consideration not just how far the person has engaged. So please instead of complaining about the stands of the team, do well to know the criteria taken by the different communities to select winners and then follow and see if you will be lucky to be among the winners.

I have seen your complaint about this selection before now and I will advise you to quit the complaint and then understand how the communities work and then try working towards that direction and see how far you can go.

Mr Simon I have seen your ratings and steempower on the app and you are way up there.
Sometimes being in higher places makes one blind to the sufferings of those below.
I find it insulting that you ask me to stop complaining. I have every right to complain when I see a problem.

I am not the only one complaining about this, many people are and some who couldn't cope and voice out just stopped participating in the engagement challenges.

I didn't ask the steemit team to select the winners. I only asked that the communities should provide a verifiable proof of how winners were selected. Not just by coming up to type we selected the following winners based on quality of engagement and post.

As I said, you are way up there and won't feel this because you have privilege of votes whether you engage in such challenges or not.

That shouldn't make you try to shut those who are brave enough to complain.
If I asked you for delegation today you won't give me. So allow me to use my voice to complain.

We are Nigerians, and this issue of not complaining have brought us into the crisis we are facing today as a country.

True

You can go ahead then and keep complaining. I have been on this platform for years and my advice to you was out of experience but if you feel your voice will make the changes then I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you

A little more justice wouldn't be bad either. Here the same people are always rewarded. There is absolutely no motivation for small fishes.

Well sounds outright interesting.
