Steemit recruitment has stalled

in steemit •  8 years ago

We know it's an issue to get actual views on a post. I would hope this will improve as Steemit grows, but then there will be more competition for views then. I consider myself lucky to do as well as I do here. We each have to decide what value Steemit has to us and whether it's worth sticking around. I'm having enough fun to carry on for now

Where else can I converse with bright people? I'll tell you where, nowhere. My 'meatspace' life is full of dimwits. I'll be here until my financial situation demands that I not be.

I think we have a great community and the general quality of discussion is much better than some other paying sites I've played with. There's a lot less 'like' spam. I was on Tsu where they got millions of users in the first year, but the spam was terrible as people desperately tried to earn a cent. There were good people there, but the management lost their way and it shut down. The Steemit team need to improve too if they want to grow the platform. Less technical users won't tolerate the issues we put up with.

Stick with it and I hope it will improve for you.

I'll be here until I can't afford to be. It's very time intensive for so little reward.

I couldnt agree more @steevc the platfirm needs to be much more stable and it needs to provide a much smoother user experience before its true potential is unlocked.

It still needs the beta tag for now. I find it generally works for me, but I'm not a typical user. It really needs to be as easy as Facebook for the masses, but I'd still like the control I get from using markdown for posts.
