I wish I was at SteemFEST too and hope to attend a future event. I am also in the long game and was hoping to hear some announcements coming out of the meetup. There's time though. I'm sure some are still suffering jetlag. LOL

Agree with need to remove the beta label - it's alive and kicking!

Some other sites seem to keep that label for a lot longer. I wonder what their criteria are for it.

If something goes bad...then they have an excuse! :-)

Exactly, but if people suddenly lost a lot of money they would not be happy.

Yep and that is why services use the "BETA", you use the service at your own risk. Instant disclaimer.

Good analysis, i still do not understand it but may look into it in 2017 again

Hey Uwe, hope things are good with you. I think Steemit is progressing well. They are still pretty small, but manage to pay some people very well. I do have concerns if that is sustainable and whether they can make the jump to the mainstream. There is a good community forming here. Hope to hear from you soon.

Nice to see another TSU person here. Steemit is a complicated, experimental ecosystem. I wrote a post about how Steemit is different than TSU - here. I still miss TSU - it had a much nicer interface for looking at photos. But the business model underneath Steemit is so much more practical. And there's a developing, good community here. I hope more TSU folks, including some of the great photographers there, come to realize how great this platform is.
