The hardfork, I really hope this makes a difference, I'm am awaiting in with anticipation. Its been a long time coming.

I got my crypto portfolio up to date today and its a little top heavy with Steem at 72%, but its my best investment to date.

The good thing about STEEM as an investment, is that it can realistically rise a lot higher IMO. We've already seen prices of 6 dollars and history tends to repeat itself, like Bitcoin has shown us.

I would think that it even has a good chance to reach the top 10 on Coinmarketcap one day. Once different projects start rolling out (with SMT's), it's going to become an investor's paradise.

Go Korea ahhaha

I love seeing Steem do so well! And the extra media coverage is a very nice bonus to it :)

After all this time the Steem price is mainly going over my head and under my radar. I tend this place like a garden whose vegetables I no longer recognize as edible. I just go about my daily business doing my best to connect and work at the same time :)

I can't resist looking at the price even though I'm not planning to buy or sell much Steem. I may just some when I get my new card so I can treat myself. I'm pretty happy with what my Steem is worth for now.

I look too, but as I am powering up all I get it has kind of lost its direct value, mentally at least.

Investing in the platform is the only way I think I can support this place. At least it gives one person who distribute wealth to the worthy as I like it to be. I recently started to vote via Steemvoter, as I think I can better support people that make real and good content that way. Voting by hand gets whimsical and I really want to give to everybody that create good stuff.

I have some little amounts of other coins but I am not trading with it, the markets (for me) are still to volatile and the ammounts I am working with are to little wherebout the commisions etc are just to high. I am no Crypto expert.. I spend to little time in the backgrounds :) But with Steem I know it will turn out just fine, it's (for me again) the first real project which has the potential to really change the way Social Media is being used... Proove are the 1 million users, ok of which a little percentage is actually active... Though the market today is decreasing a bit... Especially the SBD..

I wasn't aware one of my fav cryptos was dropped off an exchange, that is somewhat concerning for something that I see so much potential. Personally I see huge upside possibility for Steem and this platform. And will stay invested! Steem on!

smalls steps all in the right direction add up over time ;-)

What the rest of the market is doing is irrelevant if we are headed in the right direction.

And it does start to look like STEEM is becoming more independent of the market trends, and that's a good sign. The points to growing maturity and trust in the project.

That's a really good foundation to build a future on ;-)

I was out an about when I saw the pump. I was going to sell some liquid steem. I put 100 steem aside to learn to trade with. I bought it at 2.90 and would have sold at 3.25 today just to try and learn how to do a trade. I noticed it was up 10% against bitcoin so I thought it would be good to sell then. I just got home too late to catch it. I was surprised to see it pump when everything else is down as well. I am wondering if I should sell that 100 steem and buy some EOS. I'm just scared to pull the trigger lol. I love me steem too much.

It could be fun to trade a bit with what you've made. I just don't have the nerves for it

right!!! That is why I am thinking of using 100 and trying to learn. What is your philosophy on your sbd when the price is as low as it is. Mine just sits in my account. Not sure what to do with it.

I'm powering it up for now, but when I get my new debit card I'll move some over to that to spend. I'm not too worried about the price as I think I'm doing okay

I have been toying around with purchasing some STEEM over the past couple of days. I am just not sure the returns are in it. I don't have a lot of money to invest. Say I could by $50 USD worth. By the time I pay all the fees, I might only have 15 STEEM. Is that really worth boosting my SP by 15? When I can just try to write a really good post and get that. It is exciting to see it finally moving up again!

I don't see much point in buying small amounts unless you get a good rate. Just keep on earning it and powering up

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Powering up is even tough right now though because the gap between SBD and STEEM is so big. I have been using my SBD to buy votes until the prices get a little closer and it makes sense to covert. The days when SBD was higher than STEEM were awesome a couple of months ago!

Hmm - think it was only a short rise - now back to massiv falling again :-)

Not that massive. It's falling slower than many other coins. I'm just not sure why it's doing so well

yeah falling slower as of the strange rising before - who ever can tell why some of these coins do well or not :-)

Steem is the only cryptocurrency and platform that I believe in. We're going to see an even larger increase in the overall value of Steem once SMT's are finally released. Given the transaction times are faster (and proven) and no fees, you'll see people running content specific ICO's on Steem and that is when the value is truly going to skyrocket.

I have been looking into the crypto debit cards. Please share some info when you find one. I have seen some but not sure about them. Some help on this would be appreciated.

I'd rather see steem climb the "ranks" than climb in price so this is good news in my book. It pains me sometimes when shitcoins climb above us

Me too. I think steem deserves more prominence, but I'm not so worried about the price.

The rise of steem is sure a great news especially at duch a time as this where currecies are facing south. But much more we all hope for a great boost.

Concerning the update, im very sure it would be easier getting my friends on the platform if the sign up process doesn't take as long.

STEEM is number 26 in the Coinmarket, this is very good!!!
Steem on

Its amazing to see Steem rising and holding its ground while others are in the red - lets see the push for the top 20 by market cap!

After seeting the bitcoin price, became heartbroken. But the steem is healing us... :D

its really so amazing that steem rising but sbd fall down..hopefully we don't want to something bad happen with us..

It's okay for SBD to settle down. We're still doing fine
