As a child, I grew up listening to stories. Stories my grandparent told me, fairy tales that my parents told me before putting me to bed. These stories built my world. They let me dream. They let me grow up with a strong creative mind which is so imaginative that I sometimes get lost in the tales playing out in my mind.
Stories defined me. They made the person I am today. Made me realize of the magic in it, the evil that is prevalent around you, the heroes that live amongst us and tales of friendship and love.
Years later, nothing makes my heart flutter more than holding a book in my hand that promises me a world that I can enter but with no want of return.
Kids needs to hear stories, teens have to dream of the stories and we, adults have to live out the stories that are our life.
I see a lot of fiction in here on Steemit, that I enjoy, I drool over but these posts, they haven't received any due that they deserve.

Yet, payout at the end of the seven day period ends up being in cents. Most of these users ends up leaving the site after few months of these.
I always thought, I'd accumulate enough SP a day to make a difference, that I'd sit down and spend hours to curate such posts.
I have about 300 SP of my own and a 1K I got from dimimp. I try and do what I intended to do now and over a period of time as I accumulate more SP, I shall do better :)

That is really a great thing you are doing @mydivathings. Manually curation requires lot of time and fot you to be able to do this is amazing. With people like you, @steevc on the others here, I know the community will grow. We are also doing the little we can to promote steem in Ghana and Africa.

I am actually a leader of the campus steemian community where I work. But our income is working only for the needs of daily life, I really want to set aside a little income to increase SP, to achieve that goal I am trading in local exchange, but now the turnover continues to decline due to altcoin being flushed. Your post last night also add my spirit to increase SP.
@ steem-ambassador actually invites potential investors to join in steemit with the aim of investing money in the form of steem power, but in Indonesia who join the poor steemian with SP still minus. If I am a rich man, I will follow your steps sir.

Do you remember "Second Life"? I thought it would be cool to have our Steemian "world" be presented as a virtual place one day.
Time warp a decade from now.... We can have each other over to visit, collaborate, share music, interact in real time, share goods and services, etc. with avatars and buildings and streets!! lol
I think it would be cool. It seems to be a natural progression (years from now) to integrate different ways to communicate other than in a linear fashion.

It just needs someone to develop it. I remember Second Life, but I never actually used it. There's better VR gear these days, so it may be possible.

I have read cryptocurator's article but I have one question @steevc. Is delegating some steem power like temporarily lending your sp to the one you delegated ?
Although I don't have the sp to do so I am interested in Lending some as I am also for the development of the Steemit platform.

It's sort of like lending except the other person never has control of the SP. They get it added to their voting power, but you can take it back any time, with a 7 day delay to prevent double voting.

Lately, I have been able to bring a lot of friends and family to Steemit and so far its been wonderful.
Also, I'm an undergraduate, I have also been able to bring a lot of them into Steemit too. We are working on a project for massive campaign of Steemit in our campus. The whole needs to hear about Steemit. Its nice delegating Sp to help. We are moving forward.

New users are bit confused about which way they choose.
Build a good steemit community with patience or Die hard ambition to earn money only. Between poverty and dignity which one they choose! Its a big question to a new user. Its true that patience do remove the fear of proverty.

If everyones think about people like you guys. It would become more crowded area. (specially, I am talking abou the whales of the community)
Newbies got frustated and leave the platform, because they do not find it place to stay. I am not talking about all the people are same( who wanna be rich in short time). We know, it does not work like that. Still, if the whales would be more helpful to the newbies, there will more people here.
