The Entire Cast Of Steemit Characters Is In This One Clip: Can You Guess Them Correctly?

To the enfant terrible, hierarchies appeared to be maintained through fakery, fear, cowardice, and manipulation not through truth, genius, and honesty. An enfant terrible is best characterized by French poet, Arthur Rimbaud, who after listening to a shitty writer at a dinner party, ends up saying this:

"In the days of Francois, wise and benevolent giants roamed the countryside and one of their primary functions was to rid the world of pedants, fools and writers of no talent, by pissing on them from a great height."

Can you find all the Steemit characters?

Many of you may not know who Arthur Rimbaud is. He basically revolutionized French literature at a very young age, 17 to be exact.

"Rimbaud's poetry, as well as his life, influenced many 20th-century writers, musicians and artists, including André Breton, Pablo Picasso, Dylan Thomas, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, Jack Kerouac, Vladimir Nabokov, Bob Dylan, Luis Alberto Spinetta, D. A. Powell, Patti Smith, La Liga del Sueño, Giannina Braschi, Léo Ferré,[81] Henry Miller, Van Morrison, Penny Rimbaud, Jim Morrison,[78] Richey Edwards and Roberto Vecchioni. -Wikipedia

He was a genius. An enfant terrible.

To me, it looks like a MMS (Mutual Masturbation Society) of poets, consisting mostly of mediocre poets, with one man playing the leader, and rather enjoying that, not ever having had any authority outside the MMS, an enfant terrible with a friend who isn't, but appreciates him, a man critiquing others based on the shared belief system of the MMS, but without real thought of his own, a man more concerned with technology than poetry, and a lot of people afraid to rock the boat because they may get excluded. Probably a few good poets are still there as well, but keeping silent, while wondering what they are still doing here.

Your assessment is dead on!

I enjoyed watching it the first time for DiCaprio going nuts but now I'll have to watch it again after reading this.

i must say, i do not think i've been paying close enough attention to the characters of steemit, though i may recognize a skeptic among them, and perhaps a dan.

Enfant terrible is a term that I think most don't understand too well. In here, all I see it the word, "troll" applied haphazardly to anyone who offers helpful critiques. And then they get smashed by powerful whales. fun. There's plenty of shitty writers though but one really stands out....in due time.....

does the Enfant terrible of necessity intend to describe something horrendous and nasty you might scrape off your shoe? as in the brutal hellion.
or does it have any element of the likable or at least amusing? as in, incorrigible rascal, or the harmless, comical annoyance of the imp.

a person whose work, thought, or lifestyle is so unconventional or avant-garde as to appear revolutionary or shocking. Also a genius who is revolutionary. You see, there are plenty of fake geniuses, but very few enfant terribles.
You could say that Satoshi Nakamoto was an enfant terrible.

Nikola Tesla, Marquis de Sade, Salvador Dali, Thomas Paine. I think I see.

Alternate Steemit depiction:

That was very beautifull @stellabelle, I must say that I did not see this movie!
I will go now to search it, I really want to see it now.

nice one!

have you figured out who the characters are?

Is beautiful story my friend @stellabelle congratulations for another wonderful post

Beatiful? A man pissing on a shitty writer of no talent? Are you a bot?

lol

My friend @jlufer doesn't always take the time to translate everything but he means well stella :)

i thought jlufer was a bot at first too. jlufer is a good steemit pal.

Sometimes there's a translation issue, but I think jlufer really means well - even if his comments seem inappropriate to the topic.

Careful when fighting monsters...How the internet 'troll' archetype evolved.

This scene is great. I've added the Total Eclipse to my watchlist.

I've also searched for the enfant terribble to make sure that it means the same what I think & feel after this video. It's a sympathetic type for me.
I would call this type in my language (HU) "polgárpukkasztó géniusz" which the Google translates "outrageous genius" but after I have seen what "outrageous" exactly means, I would rather translate it literally, as "citizen popper genius". (It may feels awkward in English.)
