It's great to EARN money, but STEEMIT is more than just that..!!
#STEEM is leading the charge in #DECENTRALISATION as it allows users for the first time to engage in a Decentralised Environment at the same time of being creative and appreciated for their Content and Contribution.
It is this appreciation of Content in a Decentralised Environment that will, for the first time, unleash users from the shackles of the Monopolised, Centralised and Dictated Platforms.
As the true value of this new #DECENTRALISATION takes hold, it will be the sheer power and brute force of #STEEMIT as a Community that will lead the charge in educating others to the Centralised / Decentralised debate.
For me, there is no going back once you get the taste of #DECENTRALISATION..!!

Very true, Steem blockchain has successfully deployed a great decentralized social media platform, whose monetary benefits has already changed many of us. After the launch of several dapps like dtube,golos,esteem,zappl etc,, I feel that true potential is yet to be found.

I think one of the beauties of steem is that you can talk about whatever you want and not be worried about strict community guidelines. With some other centralised platforms, you may be censored when talking about a controversial topic but decentralisation allows you not to be silenced and put out your thoughts.
I'm so glad I was able to join steemit this early before it has reached millions of users and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the platform @stephenkendal

With the increased crackdowns on "controversial" (read as any thing that deviates from their accepted narrative) material from the centralized major platforms, it's more important than ever to participate in and support communities like STEEM to protect everyone's voice.
