REGISTERED ACCOUNTS
Earlier on I published a chart showing the Cumulative Number of Registered Accounts on STEEMIT after having overlaid the #dMAmapping⇗⇗⇗⇗⇗⇗ numbers.
Soon we will be punching through 250,000 Registered Accounts and I thought it would be a great idea to take the chart and extend it through to the end of the year, setting Targets at 650,000, 750,000, 850,000 and 950,000 Accounts.
Within the last two months we have witnessed an unprecedented explosion in the Number of Registered Accounts which has seen the fastest uptake in New Registrations since STEEMIT was launched back in March of 2016.
I anticipate that over the course of the next 6 months this rate will accelerate and therefore are comfortable with the MINIMUM TARGET set at 650,000 by Year End.

That is awesome. How do you think that will influence the reward trends compared to now if they are all new accounts. I mean what is the % of people that invest real money into steemit?

It is a great point to raise. We are still very much in the early days and at <$500m it is still pocket change to Institutions and Pension Funds. Wait until these boys want in..!! When they do, trust me, they won't be bothering with a few STEEM here and there..!! Stephen

Personally, I would think - and this is just empirical projection, of course - that once we get about 500k, perhaps 1m users the price of STEEM is going to roughly double. Perhaps even more than double - if it becomes more of a commercial exchange platform than it is now.

It is a good point to consider that each new account created can turn into a fully active member of the community, even if they just curate. If they also create good quality posts, then that only makes an even better platform with more and more different posts circulating around. At worst, the accounts made do nothing and in that situation, Steemit benefits somewhat as it now has a bigger userbase. It will be a combination of all of these, but the third situation will likely be the minority, leaving active members to make the platform grow. Just my thoughts.

I agree and have no quarrel with people who just curate. I used active users to describe those who create content because without them, the ability to curate would be greatly diminished and it is that connection that was what I was trying to allude to.

I would not be surprised if Steemit becomes (it oṭ isn't already!) the number one social media platform in the world. I am sure your target of 650000 users will be archived before the year ends. I didn't realize Steemit only had 250k users. I thought we were already around 650k. I'm curious to see how much the value of Steem grows relative to each time its user base doubles. I'm excited about the value of Steem going up, but the more people there are, the smaller the payouts will be. Two years from now I bet we'll all be saying, "Remember when you could make $1k on a single post? Now $50 is considered astronomical."

the good news is that many musicians are interested in the updates i have posted on my twitter and facebook -- i reckon i have bought in around 5 to 8 so far but another 200 have shown some interest -- the problem is the lack of support shown to people who produce original music here and i can't lie and tell them that you get a lot of views or fans.. something needs to shift to expand the type of posts getting upvoted -- i suggest talking about it openly and suggesting that members here make a real effort to upvote the good artist content that comes -- stop upvoting rubbish and pretty girls and think about the advantages of having popular musicians and artists coming onto steemit. Have a look back at my paintings posts and music posts and you can see that unless i buy upvotes from randowhale and minnowbooster ,there is a shameful lack of support shown. I don't mind as i can see when i grow more followers that the situation will gradually improve and i am willing to so it the hard way --but most people want instant gratification and we can get that on youtube with hundreds or thousands of views for most original songs ,even without subscribers

For all of you doing music - you need to be posting with SEO strength. See @infobunny for help. He posts really good help on this matter. I need to study up too on how to do the posts right here. A non-optimized post will not help much, but a well-optimized post will take over google search. This is an outlet a musician dreams of, but the audience is not here - they audience is google searchers.
If your musicians post a video, they also need to include 300-500 words of text that is seo optimized. This is a hurdle. But those who do it right will rank on google just where they want to rank. The Alexa score here blows anything else out. But I see a lot of videos here with just the video and one sentence maybe.
So for example, if the musician plays folk music in TN and does weddings and pig roasts - put all that in there. If they have a show coming up - post here for the ranking. Once they've done a few posts like that - they will own music searches in their area.
At least post about daily life and music related info - maybe "how to" stuff if they teach. Do the seo right. Keyword the type of music and the location and the band name.
The steemers are not the target for the music itself. This is only the platform. The music lovers are out there somewhere and you can get them with the posts.

this is wonderful and see great future in steemit. i am a very good analyzer. recently i dropped analysis on TRIANGLES COIN (TRI) when it was only $5. to my greatest surprise price went up to $12 and above. i see the coin getting to $100 in a short time. I also see steemit having more than a million active accounts in a short time

1 million is definitely possible if a huge spike happens during the holiday season coming up.
The only problem with so many people joining is the distribution of the rewards pool so I'd recommend everyone to get as much steem and steem power as you can now before it is too late.
