How to create appealing content on Steemit

As only recently joining the Steemit community, I have noticed that there are a few specific things that people do to gain followers and Steem power. There are 5 things you need to incorporate into your account, posts and comments to ensure your account grows.

1. Develop an original and informative post

   • Search the most popular tags to ensure your topic is trending and popular
   • Present your own opinion and perspective of the topic
   • Ensure that your post will help the reader gain knowledge

2. Keep your blog and posts short and simple

   • Its proven that todays society has a much shorter attention span, so keep your blogs short and sweet
   • Quality over quantity
   • Develop your idea in the simplest of forms so people with various levels of knowledge will understand

3. Insert appealing and relatable images into your post

   • Posting images can help grab the readers eye and ensure they continue reading your post
   • Make sure the images are relevant to your post

4. Tag smart

   • Just like with the idea of your post, ensure the tags you use are trending and popular within the community
   • Using tags that are trending will help your post gain higher levels of exposure

5. Help the reader get engaged with your content

   • Its easy for readers to read your post and go onto the next, so you need to finish your post with something that will make them want to connect with you and comment/upvote your post.
   • Rhetorical questions are a great way to connect with the reader. eg - What're you thoughts on these ideas? or How do you feel about these ideas? this way they will be drawn into commenting on your post
