I bought steem on polo a couple weeks ago. At that time I only knew a little about it. I learned about it. And it's price dropped a good bit. So I signed up and transferred my steem here and powered up. Where it can do something for me. The price went up which is good in the long run. I first heard of crypto during Ron Paul campaign on a website called thedailypaul. A lot of the Ron Paul supporters were and probably still are very knowledgeable about cryptos. But it was too hard to get into back then. So a couple months ago I started re reading up on it and I went to a btc atm a couple hundred miles from where I live, still the closest one. And I managed to get a couple bitcoins when it was a little above a grand. A little later than I would have liked, but early enough. I didn't get as invested as I could though which I regret. I am still buying bits and pieces when I make it to Las Vegas, but the price has almost rise above my ability to invest. At least I have steemit now! I'm going to be buying some steem and turning it to steem power when I get more money. So I. Can help shape and build this great little thing into what it deserves to be. Sorry that was so long. @drpuffnstuff, lol I bought my first bitcoins at an ATM in Henderson, is that where you got yours, or are there other ATM's in the area.

I've been to that one if it's at a gas station in a questionable part of town. There's like 15 btc ATMs around Vegas actually. It's the closest place I can go to get some. Looking forward to seeing your post!

Nope this one was in Henderson. I used to live in vegas '67 to '72 and was back there for the first time just this January . Whoa, has it changed. I was staying with relatives and I told them I wanted to go visit our old house. At the time a nice area. He told me I could probably go, just not at night and be aware!

I was introduced to steemit by jeff berwick aka the dollar vigilante. I think steemit is awesome, it gives an oppurtunity to those who had none, literally starting from the bottom. Its amazing that I can earn money just sitting at home wearing sweatpants and simply writing/sharing whatever I like.

Hi well my husband had an account here and he didn't believe in steemit, and I DO, I enjoy the posting, blogging, commenting and the community. I've met so many nice ppl already and what I like about steemit is that they show respect. If this was FB I would have some weird, disrespectful comments. I love steemit! Hey i'm new and haven't even done an intro post yet. I follow a friend on youtube and he mentioned steem and i came to it right before the recent crypto spike. i bought myself 7$ worth of steem the other day just to help get a bit more power going for giggles. The Dollar Vigilante on Youtube introduced me to steemit.
I've been dabbling with crypto currencies since 2012, mostly playing around with dust coins, and loosing all my bitcoins at a favorite casino.
But bleeding off my Big Wins and trading for alts that caught my eye for some reason or another.
I like to buy a Million at a time, and dream some day 1 will break $1 :-)
I'm having a bunch of fun with steemit, and real happy to be here.

Just no followers yet to enjoy them - but that will change little by little, post by post :-)

Steem power or SP allows you influence the outcome of posts. I upvote all comments that I like and am usually able to give about 1 cent USD. not bad huh? You can power down SP into liquid STEEM to spend it or give it away. It takes 13 weeks in 13 equal doses.

My uncle told me about it. I thought it would be fun to try. I posted my first story Today. I'm definitely going to have fun with it.
Only 3% of US currency is physical and the rest is digital. However crypto currency is giving the power to the people instead of the federal banks. Which is not owned by the U.S. (its private).

I had heard about Steem from Jeff Berwick (The Dollar Vigilante). I have been on for a week and have enjoyed it's content. It is amazing how many avenues you can go down. I really don't know how I have found Steem. But maybe bitcoin have something to do with my Steem Account. But I really love the idea of Steemit ! So i decided to join Steemit.
