I did a bit of research and at one point and also owned Reddcoin, just be aware that the original dev team is totally replaced with new people which isn't necessarily a bad thing but the new owner seems to be a bit slow to release crucial updates in a competitive marketplace. Another thing is the promo video on their main page was made back in 2014 by the original dev team which I stated is no longer in the picture.
Also the fact that you have to download the whole blockchain is brutal, its over 20gb and took over 2 days to download, I can't see this being realistic for mass adoption. Using a light wallet to bypass this keeps your Reddcoin tokens at rist although convenient. Point being, do research and really think about the hurdles the dev team is going through to make this work.
Agreed about the inconvenience on having to download the whole blockchain, I'm intrigued by the recent fluctuation and pretty much short term flips. I've made a pretty penny thus far when I bought some in march before the last pump, it has me thinking big things could come from the recent breakout.
