If we are to describe steemit and what we do on steemit, using concepts, then we will stay here all day because steem is a beautiful thing and there are no words to fully describe it. People have tried using different things to accomplish this feat; from words, to digital art, to comic, to videos, GIFs etc and as you keep trying, you will simply understand that steemit was actually created to stay ongoing, in a never-ending loop.
Hahaha, not only @ned was involving in coming up with the name "steemit"; his mama was too and we know how powerful mother's are. "Steemit" is sweet like sugar to pronounce and i am sure she played it her mind several times and felt good about it, before she uttered it with conviction.
The process of mining with minds in a reputable community of great minds, regardless of what you mine; is a never-ending cycle. Just when you are tired of mining, another great mind is doing the mining! When you are snoring and you hear a buzz, it is likely a steemit.chat notification from a steemian great mind calling you back into action. Sometimes, it can just be triggers; you are lost and short of ideas and some steemian mind appears from nowhere and reveals a new idea, that sparks you into newer ideas.
Well, who knew i will be posting this post. No plans!
But @drpuffnstuff drew me back into action because while i was laid back, he kept the "mining with minds" process. ongoing! He has created something wonderful and he wanted me to share my views.
You can see the entire creation here!
Basically, he had contest allow people to create mascot designs to represent "steemit", which he will use to create flyers, that will further be distributed to create more awareness to steemit!
When #steemgigs happened, the idea was to create a community-driven movement and @drpuffnstuff is exemplifying this in action.
Hahaha, i would always say: Give me 10k followers and i will rally them and we will go and push and displace Mount Everest by 20m at 20km/hr
Yes, people are powerful and especially a community of reputable great minds.
So here are my picks from the myriads of wonderful entries to @drpuffnstuff's #postartchallenge as originally seen here!
He wanted me to choose my best 3 entries and he wanted to choose based on "best concept". Overall, the entries are all genius and it was too hard to choose, so i am choosing solely based on my preface above, where i tried to describe what steemit is about. Here are my 3 favorites:
1. @kayrex simply spoke volumes with his/her art. He covered the mining aspect of steemit; the friendly & happy countenance of its community (steemians) and the steem tokens that we mine.
Note: What we mine goes a little beyond steem/SBD. It can also be services, friendship, personal growth, dreams, solid connections etc
Again the ever-running steem engine and the humans involved was touched on and the resulting steem!
Hahaha, this one cover the human + bot aspect as well as the "mining with minds" aspect!
The simple truth is; it was hard to choose! There where so many awesome entries and some where animated too, which was awesome.
However, the animated ones may not show off all its awesome attributes in a "still photo". There where also a lot of entries indicating whales and fishes and i think steemit is a bit broader than that.
There are also some other genius entries, with awesome characters but at the end, i had to pick only 3 and that is a hard job.
Thank you to all participants! Overall, i would like you to join the most awesome community on steemit; the #steemgigs community: https://discord.gg/wWrnSXK
Any form of creativity, is something we celebrate on SteemGIGs
Also would love you to feel free to use #steemgigs or #steemgig as we pursue reaching 5,000 of steemit in the search engines and in the face of regular internet users who simply out to create dreams & build visions!
Using this avenue to invite all participants of @drpuffnstuff's #postartchallenge to our SteemGIGs community:

This is wonderful and I love the concept. I will have to check out all the others as I know there must be a slew of other winners. I would love to see a contest that would pay more people The #1 would have top prize but the others could divide the rest that made the judges picks. I think that is more than fair since there is a lot of time > effort and creative thought that goes into a creative contest like this.
@surpassinggoogle I LOVE THE TOP 3 PICKS > Congrats to all the winners
