Can Steemit democratize the $65B publishing industry?

Well Done! Being a publisher in the print magazine world, and one of the early adopters of digital publishing delivery/monetization... the author's statements are "spot on". I LOVE the model expressed here. Currently we are in process of removing our printed editions of my main magazine titles from the newsstands. The difficulty comes in honoring print subscriptions to consumers. Many companies have gone out of business because they could not afford to pay the consumers back, so they'd rather go bankrupt and run off with their money. This is not an option in the "honorable brand" economy. Looking forward to the next 5 years and the disruptions that Steem can cause! Great article!

Subscriptions to physical print these days are like a ball and chain for publishers I agree.
I suppose for survivalist.com it's all about digital downloads these days?
Keep up the good work (and it really is quality - way to corner a niche! Well done).
