As all my followers know i write about anything that gives some benefits to the reader, to the community of steemit and also to me as the topic increases my knowledge and also i make some true friends on steemit.

You can buy and sell Steem, speculate on it’s price or convert it to Steem dollars and Steem power. But if you’re not looking to speculate on the price or if you’re not cashing out your Steemit earnings, you don’t need to deal with Steem .The reason Steem dollars were created is because the founders wanted to peg the value of Steem in some way to the US dollar, so that people will be able to trade inside Steemit but not be afraid of exchange rate fluctuations. This way if you trade, for example, 100 Steem dollars you know you’re giving away 100 USD worth of Steem.When Content creators receive rewards on the Steem.it platform they are made available in 50% Steem Power, which can be redeemed continuously over a period of 104 weeks, and 50% SBD which can be fully redeemed for Steem in a 5 day period. SBD can also be transfered on the Steem Platform and can be exchanged outside of the Platform.The benefit of Steem Dollars is that business can accept them more comfortably since they have a more stable value. Can you imagine being a shop owner and trying to sell your $50 product for STEEM which a couple months ago would have been for 500 Steem compared to today being less than 50.

STEEM POWER, STEEM and SBD . So what we want to do is convert the SBD into STEEM so let's go to the Steem Dollars section click on the little down arrow and you're going to get these options. Now DO NOT click on Convert to STEEM if you do that you are going to get this message.BTC Historical Price Chart. Steem Backed Dollars or simply Steem Dollars are stable value pegged assets issued in the Steem.it platform. SBD are pegged to the value of the USD and can be redeemed on the Steem.it platform for about one dollar worth of Steem.I think right now because Steem Dollars are worth more than Steem, it is better to take rewards in 50/50. Then if you want to change those earned Steem Dollars to Steem and power them up, go on the market and use your Steem Dollars to buy Steem and power it up.
