The P2P option for Steem, TRX, EOS, and others?

in steemit •  4 years ago

According to https://coincodex.com/crypto/steem/exchanges/ Steem is available on about 15 exchanges.

And even though Binance has a P2P option, Steem isn't an option for p2p. Even in the main Biance, you cannot directly buy Steem. You have to use other cryptos to buy, before you can get Steem; usually BTC/ETH.

For all of the P2P exchanges I have looked at:

None of them have Steem/SBD, TRX, EOS, XMR, or pretty much any other altcoins. Those that do, are LTC, XRP, ETH (some include stables and tokens).

While the centralized exchanges list these, currently, P2P doesn't offer these. You can't buy STEEM:

  • for cash, including in person, Bank Transfer, card, etc;
  • any gift cards, whether VISA/Mastercard, or Amazon/Google/iTunes;
  • web pay, like PayPal, Payeer, Skrill, CashApp, etc.

I am thinking about a crowdfunding campaign on https://purplepaper.fundition.io/ However, there doesn't appear to be any activity on the site. If I put up a campaign, would anyone be interested in the crowdfunder, to build a P2P [white label] exchange?

I'm also looking at some centralized crowdfunding options, including crypto-focused investors, and looking to see if there's any interest in the community to help pitch the idea to these investors.
