I feel like a service like Steemit is definitely a step in the right direction. I am not even remotely sure if the idea will catch on for a lot of reasons. For starters most people still don't even know understand Crypto currency. Also Facebook is not really the same medium as Steemit. Steemit is more for blogging, which means posts will generally be higher quality. When in Facebook the format is far less formal. I am not sure if I would post the same kinds of things here that I did on facebook.
