Ive seen a a few accounts just reposting material off the net without even bothering to check the contents of what they are posting.Outdated information going back a year or two. Half assed pseudo posts about a plethora of topics from weight loss, to crypto, to supposed recipes - incomplete recipes not really explaining much of anything. None of which are complete or could even really be called an article.
The rest of these peoples blogs are just resteemed posts, with the occasional plagiarised content off the web.
Yet Im seeing these posts getting massively up-voted and the posters accounts going into high value - 40rep and above.. Why is this even being accepted?
Would it be fair for someone to start flagging such posts / users?
I think it's definitely fair to flag any kind of spam or plagiarized content here on Steemit, especially if they are making a habit of spamming. It might be worth it to gently approach them with a comment or two first and if nothing changes then flag away. I hope that this community doesn't get overrun with spam in the long run, it's pretty hard to browse the New posts without having to weed through a bunch of junk

You can always go to steemit chat and report any plagiarized posts to the Steemcleaners account as well. Just let someone know in #steemitabuse or #steemcleaners-linkdrop room and someone will take a look at it.
