Am I Sacrificing The Quality of My Posts Over Quantity?

While hopping through different posts this day, I managed to stumble upon one that recognizes authors who don't sacrifice the quality of their posts for the quantity of their posts. Although that post tried to mean well, it certainly made me wonder. Did I really sacrifice the quality of my posts just just because I love posting a little something every now and then? Perhaps.

But then I realized, who usually writes this so called quality content? They usually have writing as their profession, or if not, it's secondary to them. There are also non-writers by profession, however, writing has been an innate skill. And there are some who are just good with words, who might...actually fall in the latter category.

Well, what am I trying to point out in this post though? Maybe it's having that deja vu feeling where you're in class and the only one's who are recognized are those who are the best in the field (the case here in this website being writing). Well, yeah, of course you can immediately grasp a person's intelligence here with the way he/she writes. But what about those who are trying? What about the ones who don't really have the skills that can be showcased using the platforms here? How about those who are still trying to discover what their talents are?

I know we all have our skills and it varies, and some can easily be shown and some don't really know how to show their skills. I guess I just don't want this platform to be intimidating. I don't want this to have a classroom type of setup. I want this to be a place where freedom and equality is promoted. No need to feel intimidated about another person being better than you and such.

Like even if you feel like posting just a random snapshot and a few words about your day, it will still appear to me as something of great quality because you tried to come up with something, or you were genuine with what you posted.

I guess my sentiments were brought about by a friend who told me he wasn't interested to join because this kind of 'blogging' platform doesn't suit him. I just don't want people to be intimidated like that.

So to whoever reads this post, this may not reach a lot, but I encourage you to keep encouraging others to post not just because their posts are well-written, but because they tried. I want everyone to appreciate what another person has to offer. Let's try to make this community better and treat everyone equally.

i definitely agree with you sis. every post is a quality post as long as you put your heart in it. I don't usually post so much just because I am quite busy and that posting a lot would mean I would have to go through all the comments section every now and then! haha.

PS. will upvote later for bigger upvote weight 😘❤

True enough sis! Hehe Sometimes din kasi it’s hard to keep our feelings on our own kaya what we do to lessen the wight is through writing pero hindi ibig sabihin maganda dapat agad! basta authentic, oks na yun. people will know naman what story we are trying to tell! hehe.
