Is something urgent through which I want to announce the steemit community to be careful what kind of messages they receive from different members who started to take advantage by the people from this community.
In this morning I just woke up and I visited https://steemit.chat/ where I promote my new articles and in the meantime I receive a message from the nickname @jamesc where he told me that will upvote my post which will generate me 130 dollars but with the condition to send him 15 SBD .
I'll put you a few screenshots to see how our conversation went and because of my tiredness and greed I managed to be fooled.

I understand that this scammer uses also the nickname @gavvet and another article is written by @mehdibca https://steemit.com/steemit/@mehdibca/scam-on-steem-chat-impersonating-gavvet-urgent-spread-the-word#@mehdibca/re-themovieplace-re-mehdibca-scam-on-steem-chat-impersonating-gavvet-urgent-spread-the-word-20170911t080406675z which shows his experience with this scammer who can always change his nickname and can use the nick of an honorable member and that's what I wanted to share with you to be careful what messages you receive even on steemit.

I am sorry to see what happened to you. We certainly have to be careful with people we deal with. The best way is to transact only on steemit.com.

Thanks for support @mehdibca ,I'll be more careful.

Even if you send money to a steemit wallet you can't get it back unless the person in control of that wallet agrees to send it back. You must verify every user you deal with before you engage in any financial transactions on this platform (and beyond). Thank you for publishing this information about your mistake for others to learn by. I myself sent 1 SBD by mistake to @minnowsupport instead of @minnowbooster. I notified @minnowsupport of my rookie mistake and they have not responded or returned my money. So another lesson, 1st verify the user and then double check the address before pressing send! Edit: @minnowsupport returned my funds.

Sorry to hear it, it can happen to any of us. Thankfully it was only fifteen bucks. Really pathetic on this assholes part.

I've resteemed to help spread the word about this jerk. May I suggest trying to connect with @sherlockholmes. He has been investigating and exposing scammers here in steemit. He is good at investigating accounts and finding all the fake accounts scammers set up.

Thank you for sharing this to help others from being scammed. Please don't be discouraged from being a member here at steemit. You are a credit to the community with your movie reviews and contests. There is a ton of junk here on steemit, but also people like yourself who take the time and effort to post quality content that makes being a member here worthwhile.
