Just wondering! Looking for more suggestions on fellow music nerds to follow. Best suggestions get follows and upvotes.

I like @scuzzy 's music posts, certainly knows what he's talking about

I'm actively campaigning to bring more vaporwave artists over. Just keep an eye on the #vaporwave tag...

awesome, I will definitely be keeping a look out

gonna get someone to look at the tag everyday now :)

for me... thats @soundlegion she makes collections of musicians of steem and has released a few of them already. aside for her being a musician i absolutely love, she is a musical workaholic ...

and also.. @isaria she even has a radio show on msp-waves where she showcases steemian musicians.. you should swing by one day. if you want to i can shoot you the discord.

Both excellent picks. I think @luzcypher is another excellent suggestion as that account is actively pouring through the #openmic submissions and providing a highly relevant curation trail (as @meno pointed out in his latest post.) The @dsound account is also extremely actively curating content with a combination of bot driven combing and human review. They are killing it.

Musician-wise there are tons emerging every day, but special shoutouts to steemit producers @harrisonmir, @granturismo89, @juliakponsford, and @heymattsokol for putting legwork helping people new to the community in addition to being great artists themselves, which is pretty much essence of being awesome at Steemit IMHO.

slight typo there @heymattsokol is the username :-)

Goddamn it dude I even went and looked it up. Fail.

Corrected of course.

thank you!

Ok so this might not be exactly what you had in mind but I really think you should definitely be following @cob
He is one of the founders of the Muse Blockchain
http://museblockchain.com/
The Muse blockchain is going to do to streaming what Steem has done to blogging. It will be paying out artists based on the amount of streams they received in the same way Steem rewards for upvotes. It will have smart contracts so you can separate payments between band members. As a music nerd this is huge. I have been following blockchain based music projects for years and this is the kind of stuff that is going to reinvent the music industry.

Also @drumoperator is awesome. Lots of great modular stuff and he is the drummer from Maserati. Posting some cool stuff on here and how can you not enjoy the DSound and Steemit inspirational anthem "powering up"
https://steemit.com/dsound/@drumoperator/dsound-needs-an-anthem-powering-up-by-drumoperator

Also if you followed me that would be rad. Been a fan of yours for years. I will be posting some of my own music and also important blockchain stuff especially that which impacts music.

oh and one more @edje is working to improve music curation on steemit
https://steemit.com/music/@edje/call-for-music-and-event-reviews-lets-create-a-holistic-music-community#@edje/re-rumble-re-edje-call-for-music-and-event-reviews-lets-create-a-holistic-music-community-20180123t152309774z

Well obviously I'd promote myself if you wanted to listen to a little bit of lofi, instrumental hiphop and see a couple of my tutorials check me out at @poorkidbeats on steemit but I've got a few others you might wanna check out.

@chiefmappster is always hosting competitions, music competitions and beat battles if you wanted to check out some lower-end beats and newer Steemit and Dtube creators. He is the head of the Steem Music Alliance typically under #sma. Really supportive and always willing to throw as many artists into the mix as possible no matter how small they are.

I'd highly recommend my friend @vibekilla, he's starting new initiatives and his rapping and beats have been fire. Really supportive and a very different artist. He's been trending a few times under #hiphop and runs the #nolifeclub tag

Have a good one Anthony! Hope you find what you are looking for here!

Not sure if you are interested in musicians themselves, but if so -
@vachemorte has some great music and I'm always enjoying the beats from @shakazula. Also @granturismo89 and @drumoperator both left comments here and are great, the latter being drummer in the bands Cinemechanica and Maserati amongst others

you should check me out on d.tube

if you like what you hear on there maybe you could give me some feedback on my original tracks

  • One of my favorites for obscure psychedelic rock is a series from @sature called "Obscure Revealing". There's always amazing recommendations.
  • @djlethalskillz started the "Steemit Record Pool" initiative, where when you search for the tag, recordpool, you can find quite a few entries of fellow music lovers.
  • @seveaux and @chiefmappster created a Discord-based Steemit channel called "Steem Music Alliance", where musician and music fanatics join to network and collaborate.
  • Also, I curate music-related content. The content of one series titled Melonious Thonk, ranges from the history of certain genres to an exploration of a certain genre. The latest post is about Dennis Edwards (former lead of The Temptations) and his influences, particularly in hip-hop.

I'm a hiphop and RnB producer and got like 5 artists that I work with, mostly rappers and one RnB singer.
I see a lot of potential in this platform and will try to get our stuff uploaded here!

I was going to name a few but they've already been mentioned! :D You can also join us on the Steemit Local Music Society on Discord. There's a bunch of different rooms and lots of musicians to chat with! @harrisonmir is doing a great job keeping it clean and organized!

Hahahaha, you seem to be a bit impatient in the video, especially at the end hahahaha... you are looking for those who share what they like? Well, check my blog... not sure if it is your style of music though :)
