How To Delegate Steem Power - New Super Easy Way :)

Hi guys and girls, quick post about making delegations with one click (and few words) nice and easy :) But first the hamster:

Now we can proceed. If you want to make a delegation to any user / service you want, simply write a comment:

I want to delegate X sp to @user

Where X is the amount of steem power (for example - 100) and user is the steem user name that you want to make delegation to. You can write the comment anywhere you want. For example

I want to delegate 200 sp to @yoo1900

Within a minute @tipU will answer to your comment:

A link leading to steemconnect delegation tool - just sign the transaction with your password and it's done :)

Shameless plug: You can use SteemDesk.com to delegate SP to any account. It will also use SteemConnect in the end, but it has a nice form :)

Deep linking is not working at the moment, but I will fix it (hopefully soon).

Also, the APR calculation might be too high for the tipU account because the app just looks at the transfers coming in from tipU. But tipU sometimes refunds some of the payments. Any idea how I could fix this for tipU delegators?

Probably you would have to take into account transfers with memo starting with "payout". Thankfully there are a lot of users that just invested and don't buy votes so calculations for them are OK :)

Yes, that's what I started to implement. Filtering the SBD payouts for the string "Payout" and the Steem payout for the string "Curation rewards payout". But it feels like brittle code. Question is: will you keep the text stable? :-)

Without adjusting it for each "common" account ppl are delegeting to, I can't think about a generalized way. Maybe some rule of thumb based on the delegated amount you will have a income range what everyone can earn, and filter out based on this the transactions.

That's an interesting idea.

Another idea would be to allow users to add their own filter pattern. For tipU that would be all transfers beginning with Payout.

By the way - do you think you could aggregate APR from many users and present average APR for bots? With disclamer about reinvest and other bots functionalities that can slightly render the results not 100% accurate.

But that would be super cool to see :)

I agree that would be super cool to see. Problem is that I use steemjs to walk through an account's history. It would be easier to have a database to make SQL queries.

So if i have 5k SP .. and i've already delegated 1500 SP to tipu , and then i wanna top up to bring it to a total of 4000 SP .... do i need to undelegate the 1500 wait for it to come back then delegate 4k ? or can i straight away delegate 4k SP meaning it will just automatically top up 2.5k on my 1.5k

So as for liquid STEEM payout, today it was 0.005 STEEM for 60 SP delegated - but this value varies from day to day, depending how good were the posts that @tipU upvoted :) I have some systems in place to maximise curation rewards (more voting power for new post, or posts that engage more users) but I'm not quite happy yet.

For example if user uses @tipu to upvote a post, that was already heavily upvoted - the curation reward is very small. But I can counter that and spend little voting power on post that were heavily upvoted before - I'm just not yet sure if it's a good idea (this may discourage vote buyers).

One more thing: please remember that curation reward is paid after 7 days of the post creation (and upvote) - so curation rewards are paid to delegations that are at least 7 days old. Hope that's OK.
