@tipU Investors Update: Automatic Investments Refunding

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi guys, quick update here. I've added the functionality to automatically refund (receive back) the investment made to @tipu.

How To Refund Investment

To receive your investment back, send 0.001 SBD to @tipU with memo: refund
And that's it, within a minute you will receive transfer from @tipU with your SBD and/or STEEM invested.

What Exactly Are Those Investments

@tipU has a neat functionality, where you don't have to delegate SP to receive daily payments, that come from profit sharing. You can just send at least 0.01 SBD or 0.01 STEEM to @tipu with memo: invest

Your investment will be automatically exchanged to STEEM POWER and earn you daily income. More info here.

When Refunding Investment May Be Useful
  • if you want to take back your investment, obviously :D
  • when you're using reinvest functionality and want to receive back your reinvested part
Quick Investments

Because all of this is happening automatically and does not require any human action, it creates an interesting option for steem users. An investor can now:

  1. Send, for example, 100 SBD to @tipU with memo: invest
  2. Set reinvest to 100% (just send 0.001 SBD to @tipU with memo: reinvest 100)
  3. Wait 24 hours or more
  4. Refund the investment and receive back around 100.1 SBD from @tipU - so a 0.1 SBD profit just like that. Of course the investment may be held for a longer time for higher profit.

Please note that the profits are directly dependant on STEEM price - if STEEM goes up, so does @tipU profits :)

If you have any questions, let me know in the comments - cheers!

Wow, tipu bot is really evolving over the days.. Love the tip concept is this is also awesome.

Hi @moeenali. Payouts are done every 24h and your delegation was made 18h ago :) But you can tell @tipU to make the payout now - just send 0.001 SBD to @tipU with memo: payout

ok then i will wait for it <3 Thanks for you reply

By the way, if you want to delegate SP to @tipU but don't know how, you can do this:
@tipU I want to delegate 50 sp

Hi @cardboard! Special squad of highly trained hamsters prepared this delegation link for you:

It's really COOL!!! 😎
Thank you for all your effort: I feel you do all with love, isn’t it @cardboard? ❤️

Just a simple question, @tipU: when you refund, you always send STEEM, not SBD, right?

Nope, its SBD or STEEM or both - which ever you invested, the same will be refunded :)

Perfect!

What is the max age for the posts that the bot will upvote?

A certain grumpy cat around here is downvoting votes from bots who upvote past 3.5 days... Annoying to be sure - but important if we want to use your service...

It's 2 days. I don't see much point in promoting older posts, after all your post can be viewed in hot or trending for something like 1st day.

Unless you spent a huge amount in bid bots

Aye.

HI, I invest 8 SBD but I received only 5 SBD. Why you write that I have earn 10,9 Sbd. Refund me 3 Sbd, or give me a a higher upvote. I'm not happy. Please give me an explanation

Did you invest or buy an upvote?

I promote a post

Hi @anrea97 - let's do some quick math :) here's the message you've received from @tipU:

@tipU made 10.9 SBD upvote to: >treasure-hunter-english-il-cacciatore-di-tesori-ita-big-sbd-prize-usdusdusd< paid from your deposit for 5.19 SBD. Refunding: 2.81 SBD.

Please note that you have bought an upvote, not invested.

so @tipU made 10.9 upvote paid by you for 5.19 SBD -> 5.19 x 2.1 = 10.9
Because you have sent 8 SBD and the vote costed 5.19, the amount of 2.81 SBD (8 - 5.19) was refunded to you.

In other words - you have paid 5.19 SBD for 10.9 SBD upvote :)

If you have any questions let me know ;)

Yes, you're right I did not see that you gave me the difference. But anyway I received only 5 SBDs not 10.9SBD. Why?

10.9 SBD was the upvote of your post :)

Unfortunately for your but @andrea97 is right. I received 38SBD from @appreciator and only 5SBD from your. Why you write 10.9? Thank for your answer.

These are the proofs of payment. I hope you know how to solve this problem because I would like to promote my other posts.

The upvote value was 10.9 SBD. Now it's a little lower because steem price drop.

The upvote value and refunded SBD are two different things.

10,515$ is on S.T.U. (Steem token unit) not in SBD.
The equivalent of 10,515$ is 5,2 SBD.
So do not indicate the value in SBD (10.9) and don't write that you give me an upvote 210% - 300% of your payment because if I pay 5 SBD I must receive more than 10 SBD (20$ S.T.U).
In fact, as you can see I sent 37 SBD to @appreciator and I received a vote of 71.584$ (S.T.U.) and not 71.584 SBD. I hope you can solve this problem and you keep what you promised.

Waiting for your response

???

Let me zoom in the image:

appreciator upvote value: 71.584 SBD
tipu upvote value: 10.515 SBD

There's nothing about STU here, both upvotes are counted exactly the same, in SBD added to the post value, just different value.

I am waiting for your reply. Thanks

Hi @cardboard. TipU is great. I'm tested steem invest and enable reinvest. But I get my share equal to +1e-05% (+0.00001%).

Payout from @tipU | Previous payout: 24.0 hours ago | Total @tipU profit: 142.071 SBD | Your current share: 0.0193% | Your profit: 0.025 SBD | Auto reinvested: 0.01 STEEM, reinvest ratio at 50% | Share +1e-05% | Your investment: 20.0 SP delegated + 2.01 SP invested out of 114033.556 SP total | Thank you! PS. You can now tell @tipU to make instant payout, more info here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@tipu/tipu-investors-update-payout-on-demand

This is not really readable value. If you can, fix this.

Most probably you do in string format:

value = float('1.72e-05') # same float value
string_value = str( value)

Fix:

value = float('1.72e-05')
string_value = "%f" % value

or using the build-in function format to display scientific notation as decimals.

format(float('1.e-05'), '.5f') # '0.00001'

Any way @tipU is a best bot. ;)

Thanks! I've searched stack about changing the notation but could't find time to properly test and implement it so it was hanging around on the todo list. But this:
string_value = "%f" % value
Was simple and easy to do :)

ps. you can make code lines in markdown with `` :)

Hello.

I recently saw this post: https://steemit.com/steem/@lukestokes/if-you-hold-steem-power-you-re-earning-steem-automatically

Does @tipu account for the Steem Power inflation that it is earning from investments?

Hi @kiokizz! Thanks for the heads up about the post, I think that finally I understand how it works :)

Currently @tipU does not account the steem power inflation being distributed to SP holders. Mainly because if delegator withdraws his delegation, he will receive his SP + inflation. So if I would distribute the inflated SP, upon withdrawal the delegator would receive the inflated SP second time.

That being said, I thing it would be cool to increase the delegators/investors SP for the amount of inflation - it would allow to calculate shares each day according to the stake without any rounding errors, even though the inflation is something like 0.003% per day - much less than 0.1% return rate from @tipU.

It's something on my todo list but can't give any ETA just yet.
