I think Steemit is running at its usual speed, and seems to be operating smoothly at the moment, but that still doesn't excuse the masterminds over there at Steemit headquarters for not communicating with us during such bad times.
Hell, I just saw the charts from yesterday, and you could clearly see the issues we were having over the past few days embedded right into the charts, because all the numbers were definitely down across the board.
What say you guys and gals, should they put out a statement, and then pin it to the front page whenever they are experiencing any issues?
I think this would be ideal, and it would at least give me some peace of mind, so that I know, that they know, that it's an issue, and that they are in the process of resolving it.
I'm not asking for much... am I folks?

Communication and transparency always help. It is amazing though how many organizations just try to sweep things under the rug and avoid facing issues upfront.

Absolutely! It is not asking much, to get information about downtimes or technical issues. In fact, @ned promised some weeks ago, that they will do better communication in the future. A week after that, we got an (cryptic) update and since then, they have to be falling back into the old habit of keeping quiet. That sucks!

Well the beauty of steemit is its decentralized nature. Steemit.com isnt the only means through which you can log into steemit. We have other alternatives like mspsteem.com and steemit stage.com which has exactly the same interface as steemit.com for this who prefer this interface and we also have the likes of busy.org. I think I with all these and more that I might not even k ow of, they would expect you to use any if them whenever steemit.com experiences any glitch and with that, they wouldn't need to apologise or out out any statement to that effect.
