No offense to people who actually enjoy the majority of the content that shows up in the "Hot" and "Trending" sections, but most of it to me is just balls, assuming I could even understand the language that is.
It also seems as if it is completely made-up of only them there high-ranking folks, which is one of the reasons I am still considering whether or not Steemit will actually survive.
I 100% agree that no pay-to-win system could ever survive long-term, or garner a solid user base, because by design, they all inevitably scare away those who are unwilling to pay-to-play.
Some would argue that the "Hot" and "Trending: sections are filled with people who actually write good articles, yet, out of curiosity, I check these so called good articles on a daily bases, and constantly see the "vote count" exceeding the "view count".
Now, I'm not a smart man, but that doesn't seem to add up. Why are people up-voting articles they haven't even seen, let alone read... seems fishy to me.
Anywho, I got shit to do, and dabbled on here way too much today already.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, and if you believe Steemit will survive through its inherent pay-to-win ecosystem, and why you believe so?
