Today makes my two months on steemit and I must confess that it seems just like yesterday. It's a phase many steemians have passed through or will be passing through

Sometimes, I wake up with thinking of what to write about and wondering if it would interest readers or not. From the very day I fully committed myself to Steemit, I have had a few more successful posts as well as some major failures, but overall the experience has been extremely rewarding.

Steemit is the best thing I have ever come across, not because it has rewarded me in some sort but because it has shown to me that your gifts and talents can pave way for you. It has shown to me that those pictures and posts of yours on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will fetch you money if posted on Steemit.

Let me tell you about about my growth in two months

My reputation has grown to 51 within a span of two months

My followers have increased to 133 compared to the 50 I had in my first month. I am currently following 18 people

My total posts are 308 (including comments)

My SP has grown from 15 the first month to 40. I have never powered up for once

Below are the things I have bought with my earnings on Steemit

In my two months, I devoted a great amount of time to monitor and learn about the platform and I would like to share some of my observations, thoughts, remarks and tips with you.

CONTENTS

If you want to gain a foothold on Steemit, it's pertinent to always churn out quality contents. You need to take your time and do a lot of research before posting because your contents speaks volume about you in order to gain the love of fans. Once people check out your blog and it's devoid of creativity but "copy and paste" infested they lose interest in your blog

LAZY PEOPLE DON'T EARN ON STEEMIT

If you think steemit is a "quick rich" platform, know that you are at the wrong place. You need a lot of hard, commitment, persistence and patience before you can earn something worthwhile. Plagiarism is a criminal offense on Steemit, so if you think you can put up crap and always expect a whale to come from anywhere and give you a $15 on your crap, I'm sorry to tell you that I see you packing out of Steemit.

YOUR POSTS MUST BE WELL ARRANGED

Paragraphs and images help to convey your message in a clean and easy way. At a glance, a viewer can decide whether he or she will read it or close the page and this is where arrangement comes in place. Learn how to place your images and paragraphs at appropriate positions and also use the right tags. You can check this website for list of tags http://steemit.com/tags

LEARN MORE FROM PEOPLE

My inquisitiveness has really been helping me a lot and I'm glad that I have people who are always ready to help me out. Don't think you've known the in and out of Steemit and need no one to tell you what to do. Always endeavour to ask others who probably know more than you do

TRY TO SOCIALIZE

You alone can do it all, you need the help of people. Always remember to check your replies often and try to comment on people's posts. Pay attention to your statistics and be friendly on your approach. Also, try to upvote people's post by encouraging them even though your VP is just $0.01. This could make them appreciate your gesture and will follow you

For the beginners, pay attention to:
(a) Those who upvoted your posts
(b) Try to check their blogs and reciprocate the same gesture
(8) Thank your readers beneath your posts

DO NOT INSULT OR PROVOKE ANYONE

In other social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc people participate in e-brawls and get away with it, but on Steemit, it's the wrong place to do such because it's going to dent your reputation. You could get flagged and you start from square one. I have never actively participated in provoking, insulting and or wishing harm to any member of Steemit and this has help me a lot

POST REASONABLE COMMENTS

Let your comment be thoughtful, helpful and blissful. Don't rush to comment on a post for the sake of getting reward. Avoid posting things like "nice post" "I like it". This is called spamming and you could get flagged.

MY FUTURE ON STEEMIT

My goal is to bring in more users and I have started preaching steemit to my neighbours, friends, family members and church members.

Build my SP so that I could get quality upvote (I'm tired of giving $0.01 upvote) lol

I have never gotten at $50 upvote from a whale and I know I'm going to break that jinx this year. I see that happening on this post anyway. Lol

I have 2 new ideas for development projects that will be very valuable for the ecosystem and I hope I am able to get started with them over the upcoming months.

I want to have many followers but it is something that will hopefully happen naturally as an effect of my contents.
