INTRODUCTION
As an author that is sold out to steemit on blogging, there are things you must jealously guide all the days of your career on steemit, if you are pursuing the achievement of being a STEEM WHALE π.
They are:
YOUR STYLE
You must not let it slip from your hand, you must hold onto it. Your style can be lost if you copy other people's niche on steemit, it's like faking yourself, doing what's not original of you. You say, "Yes" this brings them a lot of money from steem, I have been in this network for a long time, but just look at this other steemian who opened an account one month ago, he/she has made a lot of rewards by doing this! Or By doing that! Let me use his/her style and also make huge rewards like him/her.
I'm sorry to say this but if you lose your style of blogging on steemit and copy the style that works for others, it just might not work out well for you.
Being a steemian is believing in what you will bring to the community, most times all that is needed in your style of blogging is just the high quality content of it.
If you notice your style of blogging generates low rewards, there is this word they call "upgrade".
If a version of something ain't appealing then an upgraded version may be. If its still not appealing to generate good curation then another upgraded version will catch the readers attention.
Just upgrade your style using the GOOD-BETTER-BEST version upgrade and you will be glad you did.
YOUR PURPOSE
Your purpose here on this social blockchain gives a big meaning to your steem career, when lost! Low or no curation is inevitable.
You were given an account by the steem management for a purpose, and your blog exist for a purpose.
To know more about your purpose here, discover yourself first, unmask yourself because everyone has something to offer.
If your purpose here is meaningless in terms of (plagiarism, poor content, inconsistency, seeing steem as a money making machine, spamming, make foolish comment, and many more) then the existence of your steem account is a disaster.
Loosing your purpose as a steemian will summon the attention of the steem management Saddled with the responsibility of closing down accounts that have no purpose on the steem blockchain. Therefore give your steem account a purpose.
Ask yourself apart from earning rewards;
Why am I here?
YOUR AGENDA
What is your agenda here? I believe I am given an account with the high price to carry out a particular agenda. I believe old and new accounts are given to potential bloggers with the hope of an agenda to help tackle one or two hindrance suffered by the blockchain, apart from earning rewards, getting the whole world to believe and be aware of steemit and crypto in general is and should be a key and a primary version of all bloggers of this community.
It's pains my heart to Know that some countries are against the acceptance of crypto.
I don't know it all but the fair knowledge I have acquired so far on crypto is a blessing and not a curse.
Therefore to all steem account without an agenda ask yourself;
"WHAT IS MY AGENDA HERE?"
Once you have discovered your agenda, start working on it and you will love your stay on this social blockchain.
There are alot of steemians(whales, dolphins, minnow account with good agendas).
Inspire to have an agenda in the steem blockchain.
YOUR SOCIALISATION
The steem accounts of who you follow and visit when there is a new publication matters, if you interact your steem accounts with the right bloggers on the steem blockchain it will promote your account and increase your rewards and the same is the reverse if you socialise your steem account with the wrong group of bloggers here then you will demote your account and have low or no rewards.
The steem account you socialise your upvote, resteem, comments to will determine what rewards will follow your account.
Therefore to socialise with high quality steem account is good. If as a steemian you don't socialise with a good account, start now by doing so.
ORIGINAL WORKS
As a blogger it is expected that the works of your blog be original, I have been curated by this humble whale @rok-sivante on this post which is fourteen days old now here;
https://steemit.com/poetry/@udezee/a-poem-the-suffer-r-the-average-man-a-voice-for-change-37939c56d840f
I was so happy, I said to myself originality should be a key reason to attract his curation.
If you engage in plagiarism will have low rewards as a minnow alot of whales go on an upvoting spree to curate undervalued contents which are original.
There are alot of community and steem accounts who saddle themselves with the responsibility of curating originals works. The few I have witnessed who engage in such act are
@curie
@rok-sivante
@surpassinggoggle
@yoo1900
@greenrun
@ogoowinner and the likes.
The names of these curators are numerous but these are the ones I know.
So as a writer in the steem network being original pays even if you have not benefitted from it, it will pay someday, if you keep at it.
Therefore be original don't fake the content of your blog. This post below will help shade more light on this, authored by @ogoowinner

SIMPLE GUIDES EVERY STEEMIAN SHOULD EMBRACE
The should be originality in what you do here.
There should be high quality in your publication.
Give your steem account an agenda(my vision here for now is to preach the steem Gospel).
Socialise with accounts that will promote and increase your rewards.
Join a community that has huge feathers flying in the steem network. You will need this in other for you to also have a feather and fly to to milk and honey deeply rooted in quality and high post.
Believe in your style of blogging.
Give your account a purpose.
Engage in what I call "COMMENT TRAIL". It's a good thing to see a good post, read it and leave a good comment, But try and have two to five accounts and ceaselessly engage in visiting, reading and leaving a comment. I have been blessed doing a "honest comment trail" on a particularly blog (@bethwheatcraft)
See:
@bethwheatcraft said I'm her favourite steemianWhy I visit her blog? I'm just obsessed with the high quality content she gives her audience all the time.
To know more visit

CONCLUSION
It will be a thing of joy if after reading this and you learn one Or two things and open a new page on your blogging pattern then I believe things will change and your accounts will grow and develop to that of a STEEM WHALE. Stay steemy and have a good day.
APPRECIATION

Nice job on this post, outlining key points of what makes a successful Steemian.
Can you clarify one thing for me? How do you differentiate between someone's purpose and agenda?

I read through again but still not sure I have it correct. A Purpose is Why Am I Here on Steemit? While an Agenda is how you're overcoming obstacles to Steemit and crypto?
