Half-season Dota Pro Circuit is predicted to get hotter as the teams scramble points in a tough tournament! Let's see the tournament you can see this month!
Captain Draft 4.0
Unlike the other tournaments, this tournament uses Captain Draft format that each team only get 3 times the tire at the beginning of the tire and pick. Of course the team that follows must think hard for his team can run the strategy well because the tires can only be used in the beginning only!
The tournament was held at DC Armory, Washington DC, USA. The tournament starts from January 4-7 with a total prize of $ 300,000 ($ 300,000) and 300 points.
The tournament was attended by various top teams such as Team Secret and EG who got direct invite. Vici Gaming and OG also follow the tournament along with four other teams.
Captain Draft 4.0 uses a group stage format in which eight teams are divided into two groups. While the playoffs will use a single elimination bracket. The results of the group stage will determine the placement of the playoffs.
Galaxy Battle 2: Emerging Worlds
Galaxy Battle Season 2 is held in Bulacan, Philippines starting from January 15-21. The tournament is a major tournament with 18 teams competing for a total of $ 1,000,000 prizes and 1500 points.
This tournament has a slightly different format that is a wildcard round that will fight two places to play the event. Team Empire and Team Kinguin from European runners up and CIS. There are also Skyville and PG.Barracx from the New Blood Championship competition.
Special PG.Barracx indirectly became the first Indonesian team to compete in the Major Dota 2 tournament. We wish you the best for Ramz and friends as Indonesian representatives!
ESL One Genting 2018
Two days after Galaxy Battle Season 2, ESL One Genting 2018 will be held at Resort World Genting, Malaysia. Eight direct invite teams and eight teams from regional qualifiers will compete for prizes of $ 400,000 and 400 points.
Not yet known what kind of format used but likely will use group stage. Because of the playoffs there are only 8 teams remaining and use the single elimination format.
