India needs to expand their naval forces as China looks to increase their naval presence in the Indian Ocean. Currently, China has four times the number of ships in comparison to India.

Also, how will India respond if China gets their wish and acquires a large naval base in Pakistan? I can't imagine India will be happy about that.

It seems that China is determined to make the Indian Ocean their very own. It would be wise for India to pursue a closer working relationship with the US Navy.
