WE DID IT! I just surpassed 1,000 followers on SteemIt. I have over 400,000 social media fans, but this milestone really means a lot to me. I really do love this community and platform. I'm just so happy that I was welcomed with open arms and accepted. :) New sites sometimes can be scary and daughting, however I feel like I have a family on SteemIt.
7 months ago, when I joined, I had no clue what I had got myseslf in to. Cryptocurrency was a word that scared me & I knew I had to learn so much before understanding it. I dove into SteemIt full on at the beginning. I was on it for at least 6 hours a day for the first month, learning as much as I could.
I was also nervous about sharing my plant-based recipes on a site geared mostly towards cryptocurrency and the digital age. You all have been so amazing and supportive. You have made the transition from traditonal blogging to steemit seamless. I can't thank you all enough.
Just a little over a month ago, I got comfortable enough to start trading some of my digital coins. I have made a profit of nearly $10,000, which is crazy to me. I still have so much to learn, but I'm excited to take you all on the journey with me.

Congrats on the milestone, and big ups for repping the veg community so well with strong content. You must be very excited -- I was pretty fired up when I cross the 100 follower threshold the other day.
Glad to see there's a strong vegetarian and vegan community on here. Following for more, and I hope to contribute a thing or two to the plant-based community every now again -- but maybe more from a "results" oriented basis, as my cooking is not nearly as presentable or palatable ;).
I'm putting myself on a journey towards getting into peak climbing shape, and I would imagine I'll try out a couple of your recipes along the way (Donuts with beet glaze? Holy shit!)! I've been vegetarian / 95% vegan (I cook vegan at home, but have a weakness if someone offers me some baked goods or a fried-egg sandwhich that they've made) for about 3 years now.
Real strength comes from plants. Just ask gorillas -- you don't see them eating steaks.

I think in Alabama, the number one turn off is vegetarianism. That's according to some haters app though... Funny notion is all. Anyways, you have a friend in me.
