The restaurant was located at Plaza 333, Penampang, Sabah, Borneo, just fifteen minutes from Kota Kinabalu town. Be prepared to look for parking as this restaurant located a popular location in Penampang.
The deco in the restaurant is very simple and there’s a cartoon illustration something to do with eating BBQ food. I love the idea of having dinner with charcoal Korean BBQ grill tables that they arranged in an open air style. The BBQ grill table can accommodate at least five individual grilling and stainless steel surfaces allows everyone to prepare their own meal and eat together while sharing stories and creating memories!
The service was good and staff were very eager to take our order and helped explain menu items. They immediately greet and assist you with food choices. I consider the service is fast because whenever you're in need of something, they give their full attention.
One thing funny though, the played a local Kadazan’s song on a Korean restaurant...LOL.
The Menu and Food
After going through the menu, we finally ordered BBQ Set B which consist of Pork belly, lamb, chicken and Soy Stew. The main course comes with the three side dishes; kimchi, vege and steam rice, and also a jug of ice cold green tea. You can check out the other menus that they offer as per the picture I attached below.
This restaurant is a paradise for meat eaters, fresh and marinated meats are aplenty to satisfy the hungriest of carnivores. Koto said that the best way to enjoy your grilled meat is to wrap it with fresh lettuce and dip it in either a sauce or ssamjang (spicy dipping sauce).
The barbecue is done atop a stainless non-stick BBQ grill (looks like a car Sport Rim Cover Cap..LOL) over a real charcoal flame.
The food is hearty, fresh and of good quality at all times with extra care.

Overall, it is a wonderful experience dining here. Staff are attentive and friendly. Food were delicious and authentically Korean. Price is quite reasonable and I will return for the Bulgogi and Bibimbap when the crave for Korean food strikes me. Good food and nice place to enjoy with friends.
