Curations Rewards

Hi guys this is a bit of a rant regarding curation rewards.

People come to steemit
Try to get noticed.
Realize the platform is rigged. (only certain few or females)
Leave.

I don't know if this issue has been raised before but it is very difficult for me as an individual gain steem power and SMD without having a significant investment and buying steem dollars. Even though i managed to upvote a post when it was under $100 and it reached $16K , i only earned 0.001 steem. I know it may seem greedy but i joined this community with the hopes of earning and also helping others earn as well. But i've noticed most the people have a significant boost from personal accounts (owned the by poster themselves) which helps fuel the initial growth which is then upvoted by individuals like me , but again benefits the same small number of individuals who have a lot of steem.

I would love to hear some of your opinions or whether my opinion are unjust and irrational.

As for improvement i think we need a better distribution system. I do not have an idea yet , but i plan on reading the white paper as soon as possible before suggesting any thing. I hope you guys do the same and please suggest ideas below so we can improve the steem community and help out people like me :)
