FIX STEEMIT PLEASE

in steemit •  7 years ago
  1. Remove the RED-FLAG down-vote! This option allows those with economic might to DIRECTLY silence those without. This makes Steemit no different from the wider-world. THIS IS STEEMIT's CLEAREST RED-FLAG. I would also like to ask why up-votes are not sufficient for the sorting of content for those that only want to see content supported by the wealthy. This is an online pseudonymous social media platform, FREEDOM should be the rule, not PLUTOCRATIC TYRANNY. There can only ever be FREE EXPRESSION, or not.

  2. Text content is stored on the Steemit blockchain as far as I am aware, but images and videos are not. At the very least, if storing this content on the blockchain is not feasible for Steemit, why not make use of IFPS?

  3. A cursory view of even the economically popular trending section, shows that this is just scratching the surface of Steemit's flaws. Can they be fixed? Maybe, but I do not have a technical background. Will they? Given my understanding of societies, this is highly unlikely. Revolution or separatism, is far more successful than any attempt at reform. That begs the question, where is Steemit's successor or worthy alternative? Absolute freedom and pseudonymity are prerequisites.

Without freedom, there can be no love, love~

Remove the RED-FLAG down-vote!...highly unlikely

I understand your frustration about the power of the whales' abilities to flag and be flagged into oblivion..and STILL maintain whale status. (lol)

@voxxe, I realized long ago, that as in the real world, the man with the money and the mike rules, and in Steemit's case...make the rules....lol!

Either we want to play, or we don't. Many jump ship and quit. Thankfully, many come to their senses and say, a penny of Steem beats what FB, et al offers.

Yes, Steemit has its flaws; BUT, I've learned so much in the few months on this platform by being able to invest and grow my tip jar, that until something better comes along to make it not worth the time invested, I will refrain from the complain...ing. ;+)

Btw, be careful with the QR code. I'm sure it's 'safe'; but, it's a shortcut which indirectly links hackers to your funds; unlike the sale of a product.

Best regards!

Peace.
