How do you get Steem from @blocktrades?

in steemit •  8 years ago

So I've notice that many Steemers out there have received Steem from @blacktrades. Does anyone know why or how you get rewarded from @blocktrades? Is it a follower thing or tripping people for posting good content?

I'd like to know,
@wakeupnd

Hi @wakeupnd , like @jesta said, @blocktrades is just an exchange site, all exchange sites use one single Steemit account to keep the funds and use the memo to know to which account they belong to. Blocktrades is a exchange site where you can buy crypto with crypto without having an account, just by simply sending crypto to one address of them and giving the address to which you want a receive the crypto. So what you are seeing is just people buying Steen through Blocktrades.

You use https://blocktrades.us/

It's an exchange, people are buying/selling steem or sbd through their platform.

Have you used it before? Is it better or worse than say Poloniex?

It's a lot more like shapeshift I believe, where you literally send coins, it exchanges them, and sends you the desired coin - fully automated.

I haven't used it before - I typically like to set my prices. But I've heard only good things about them, I can't say I've read anything negative (not that I'm looking).

Yes, you're right. But there is an important difference: shapeshift returns your money if the order does not go through. See my bug report here:

I think that when you buy BTC on exchange you send them thru blocktrades to convert to steem or steem power. It is not reward. I'm not 100% but i'm pretty sure that the way it works.

Just replied so I can find out the answer.
