What Grinds my Gears on Steemit - Like snubbers

You know what grinds my gears, Like Snubbers

What's a like snubber you say?

I'm sure everyone has dealt with these people but they really 'grind my gears'. It's a person that notices your post, clicks the link, reads your post, clicks reply, leaves a comment, clicks submit and then fails to like your post. I understand people leaving a negative comment and not liking it but a lot of these snubbers post positive or neutral comments about my posts. Is it really that hard to add one extra step and click the like button? Obviously the post caught their attention and they chose to take a min or two to leave a reply.

Final thoughts

People, spend that extra half second and click the like button. even if you don't support the post it caught your attention and if the post made you think more than usual hit the damn like button please.

Quit grinding my gears stop being a like snubber.

Thank you and good night,

sometimes i forget. sometimes i read the post and decide i shouldn't dilute my voting power. not sure exactly how all this works yet. this doesn't grind my gears, but i find it weird when i leave someone a less than positive post and they follow me.

I don't think there's a way to dilute voting power that is based on your amount of steem power.

cool, good to know, i'll keep learning. thanks.

Rewards are based on steem power / votes per day. with a min value of 20. so you can dilute rewards but if you're that concern about it you should probably log off after 20.

i'm not concerned exactly. i'm just trying to conceptualize the dynamic. if i spread my vote out too much, that would seem, at least in theory, to make it less valuable. not saying that is how the logic of this system works, but i'm just being conservative until i figure it out. thanks

You know what's an even worse snub? When a dolphin or a whale upvotes a reply to your blog but not the blog itself. Their comment ends up making more money than your original post.

ugh, ya throw someone a bone for starting up the conversation right?

LOL good one

Well your picture is not properly aligned.... Ha, only kidding. Some of us don't have enough weight to vote. (obviously, there is not a scale)

every like helps. you may not see the payout increase but you're giving that post like .001 steem.

I think sometimes people comment, fully intending to vote it up (30 minutes later) and then forget. It's happened to be me before. I use a script now which will vote up the post at the minute I want it voted up. Helps avoid being a snubber. :)

maybe they need an auto like checkbox for the replies too.

You think all replies deserve an upvote? I'd rather save that voting power for new posts from those who've never received a cent from Steemit. Getting a ten cents could be the difference between them sticking around or abandoning the platform. I often upvote my commenters, but mainly because they are valuable contributions to the network.

Done and done, good article and you have been up voted sir :)

I've noticed that too. I think people measure out their upvotes carefully because too many and the value gets diluted, but it doesn't cost anything to leave a reply.
