There is no real centralized place to get information and updates from crypto projects, but Steemit could be that place.
Whenever you go and research a coin, they all have their own places they like to share info. Some on Twitter, some on Discord, some on Slack, some on Medium and some put stuff on their websites.
More cryptos should utilize the blog format of Steemit to promote their coins. There are some that do a great job of updating information here first, most notably @eosio. They just updated four days ago.
Steemit is a growing crypto community and the perfect place for ICOs and other projects to update their fans. If you look on the homepage of EOS, they have a big button that says "Announcement". If you click it, it takes to a Steemit blog.
We are all in this crypto thing together. Sure we have coins that we favor, but we should try to support other projects as we go. Having more projects post regularly on Steemit will not only get them more fans and followers, but Steemit will grow in importance. As it grows, the projects have more access to crypto fans.
The one thing that is very unique about Steemit is the fact that everyone on Steemit understands what cryptocurrency is, even if they just know the basics. They are using it daily. That says a lot about why projects should be posting more regularly here on Steemit.
Steemit is a great platform and we can make it even better if more projects like EOS push their Steemit blogs. We as Steemonians need to help support the new projects, the ones that are not scams, and really show some love.
My hope is that the people creating the new blockchain technology use the current blockchain technology to promote and inform.
What do you think?
Should more crypto projects use Steemit as their main blog?
Let me know in the comments below.
Thanks for reading.
Couldn't agree more. I'm new to Steemit (haven't even gotten steem yet besides initial chunk lol) but I'm using this to share what I'm seeing in the crypto market and learn from others like yourself.
This platform has the potential to be THE centralized location for knowledge sharing in the Crypt world. Great insight :)

I think this is the best place to get crypto advice. It is mainly crypto talk here and such a supportive educational community.

I agree. Having Steemit as a central hub to get and give info about good cryptoprojects would be nice.
The blogging format of steemit seems like a great way to announce things/update people.
As you say, people on steemit generally already have a basic knowledge about crypto which makes people on steemit a perfect target audience anyway so why not directly adres us on steemit too?

Most definitely there should be more platforms like this! Giving people an opportunity to use their skills and be rewarded financially for what they do by a community.

Well actually the only reason the EOS guys are having a Steemit blog is because EOS is also from the Larimer universe. I guess all other cryptos see Steem as a competition and will avoid it. Since there is lots of money involved, the "we are all in crypto together" argument won´t count a lot unfortunately ;)

So we start a Steemit Crypto Marketing startup? Help these coins get started and grow their presence here for consulting fee, coins, and/or SBD?
