Make Sure You Use Your 10 Votes A Day

in steemit •  7 years ago

Hey people of steem,

If you are newer to steem or didn't look it up you might not fully know how the voting power works. Everyone has 100% and you use 2% every time you vote at 100%. But it charges 2% every 2.4 hours. So in theory if you spread out your votes every 2.4 hours you can always vote with 100%. That is why the voting bots are spaced out as they are. Now you are probably not going to sit by the computer and post every 2.4 hours but if you use your ten votes in a day it will get back to a 100% for the 24 hour period.

Now if you don't care about math then just vote as you want. Really it will come back if you take 5 days off so there is no worry that you will lose it when you want it in the future. But if you are only voting so many times a day you are, in a way, wasting that voting power you have. I recommend spending it on someone you like, like that whatageek guy is pretty awesome :p.

You can also vote at smaller percentages if you want to preserve it too.

But use it up.

yes. I use 30% for people blog voting. people get from my voting 0.10. I think that's enough to help grow the newly joined steemit account. because I have 1550Sp. maybe if my SP is a lot. I will increase the voting power

😎

i'm using it ;)

Cheers from venezuela!

Well explained, nice lecture..thank you @whatageek as my friend i use it on you- upvote, just hoping you will reciprocate my kindness

Thanks for sharing!!! Quick question on the 10 votes in 24 hrs. Does it matter if the 10 votes are for one person or should they be spread out over a few steemians?

Important information friend and it is like that even though we think that our voting power will only give 0.01 that does not matter because the weight is what it is worth and in the end there will be good results. I send you a big hug from Venezuela

Great information. But my voting power is very small.

Give away to loved ones , no matter how small it is

great article!

Thank you so much !

I finally undestand how this works.

tbh i had no idea before :)

Ah I have been wondering about how exactly the voting power regeneration works. Thanks for simplifying an optimal method for maximizing our potential impact!

It is important for 10 voting steemit users every day, because it is better not to exceed 10 votes per day to keep voting good.

@whatageek guy is my friend , I just gave my upvote to him cause I appreciate him as a good person.

I did thesame i pray he thinks of us as a friend too. Nice comment

😎

More clear impossible it is always necessary to remind us this type of information

Perfect advice. I never follow it though! I can't stop voting!

done.. My voting power is pretty much down. How much Steem is required to be able to vote with less than 100%?

The steem power itself doesn't matter, you can vote at whatever percentage you want. It is always 2% of your voting power for you to give a 100% vote of your voting power and your vote goes up 2% every 2.4 hours. Now if you have a lot of steem power and you vote with only 20% voting power it can still be worth a lot. And if you got to 0% voting power, you will be back to 100% in 5 days if you don't vote. Hope that helps.

..for you to give a 100% vote of your voting power..

It's these 100% that I am referring to. I would like to be able to vote content with 50% to ensure my voting power doesn't drain so fast. How do other users do that, is there a special program required for that ?!

Here's a screenshot from my Steemworld profile:

Thank you dear very important information before I don't know

That is very clean and concise explanation, @whatageek. May I translate it into Serbian?

feel free :)

Thank you very much, @whatageek. Translation is posted inside my text:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@lighteye/stimit-iskoristite-maksimalno-svoj-glas

I use 99% when I vote on posts and ten percent on my article commentators.

that works :)

Great tips for new users..
I personally think that steemworld.org is the best when it comes to tracking your own account.
Would definitely recommend to all of Steemians.
Cheers :)

Now I know.. Thank you for the information,, how about having control in your upvotes regarding percentage thing? How to do it or control it and how it works? Hope you won't mind me asking, I know it's not right time for me learning this thing for I have a very low upvoting power. Thanks for the share Good day and God bless.

The percentage is how much of your vote you are giving. A vote uses 2% and that percent that you choose is how much of that you want to use.

The power to vote is one of the most important concepts in Steemit and we must understand how it works to get the most out of this social network based on contributions, both in the authorship of articles and in the curation of content. Thank you for your initiative in this publication.

Ya I have been using an upvote bot lately, it seems to be working pretty well. You can set it up so that your voting power doesn't drop below 80. Works great I'm going to do a write up soon on it when I see what gives the best results.

Taking care of our own voting power, knowing what it is and what you are doing with it, not vote as crazy and vote good content, that's the key. Nice post @whatageek.
