In an article about blockchain and marketing in social media, steem was mentioned as a company who is already started to utilize this new model. The article talks about social media as a means of distribution. Thanks to the blockchain you can reward content creators for their work. Does this sound familiar? Now you know why it was mentioned in this article.
I wonder if this is the future of all sites that ask for content. Why not reward people with a currency. There is already a transaction system set in play with likes and views, so why not add currency. It is not only social media but any site can, in theory, add a coin that people can get when they utilize the site. I'm sure too many coins can't survive but I'm guessing each type of content can have a currency or two with it.

I remember when I signed up for FB while it was in its preliminary days as only open to American colleges. Seemed cool at first but could not see it being as big as it is today. Hoping Steemit is the future forward now.
