Trying to conduct some "in-field" research and hear from the community directly. Do you think that Steemit it has steem power (pun intended) or do you think it's what some deem a ponzi scheme?

Let me know! Comment and resteem so I can get a broader idea.
Thanks!

As any new platform or business idea, it may catch on and grow if the general public catches on. In my opinion Steemit has great potential. But there are so many ways to interact on social media it's going to take some time.

The question is when the general public becomes aware and it turns mainstream will it retain it's quality...Reminds me of the saying quality over quantity

The honest medicine here is that it probably won't have consistent quality as it scales. Then again, that's to be expected. We'll see a two steps forward, one step back experience where for a while everything is getting better and better. Then, suddenly, we'll get a rush of users who don't understand how smart the platform is who will just try to game it and post spam. It will wobble back and forth but I believe in a generally upward and growing trajectory.

well worded. I do agree.

I believe with some functionality improvements, Steemit could definitely challenge Reddit.

Very true! For the technically challenged this is probably not the best place at the moment.
