Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    What about the bots like steem cleaner that wrecks a new persons third post making their reputation almost nothing. I wish steem was more helpful.

      I think that only happens if you do a copy and paste
