I work for Apple. STEEMIT is going to be my Side Hustle.

Hi. I'm Kent, and I'm an At Home Advisor for Apple.

I work from home taking calls for iOS, Mac, and Beats Audio customers. It's very rewarding and I LOVE my job more than any other I've ever had. I'm able to go on my breaks and dinners and hang out with my family, I've got a great view of my backyard, and you wouldn't believe the amount of gas I save.

However, this post is not going to have much to do with Apple other than simply mentioning that's who I work for, because I'm more interested in talking about how I want to make Steemit my 2nd job, or "Side Hustle" (that and I'm not even allowed to talk about very much outside of work - and I'm not special enough to know anything more than what the public already knows anyway). Granted, at this stage of my involvement, not much has happened besides one of my early posts getting liked by @stephencurry, causing it to gain nearly $200. Nice grab.

I was ecstatic!

It motivated me to stick around and do my best to ramp up. I've been comparing this place to a huge train hauling an enormous amount of freight - it takes a bit to get up to speed, but once there, it's unstoppable.
I've made several posts since then, and aside from that one post I made, the pennies have only been trickling in just as with most others here.
So, just like pretty much all of us who are down low on the bottom rungs of the ladder, I'm hoping to make a post which garners some attention enough to begin pulling in some good numbers.

So why do I want to be involved with STEEMIT if I already work for such an awesome company?

Well, of course the money is motivation, but this isn't just so I can have money to spend. My wife and I have 2 1/2 year old little boy who is autistic, and my main motivation is to have money to put back for him for any needs he'll have. His mom and I are fine. Our jobs are enough to keep the bills paid, the house afloat, and food in our mouths, but he'll need it as he gets older. Even now, the funds it takes to make sure he's taken care of aren't cheap, so I've decided to give this site a chance to see if MAYBE I can get something to work out. He's the best kid in the world, and I'd be a dumb father not to do what I can to make sure he's okay.

Seeing monster trucks in real life for the first time. He had so much fun.

Needless to say, I had to put my pride away to even make this post, because I'm not one to ask for handouts, but I can't say I feel that's what this site is for. It's for creating original content, and the most original content I've ever created was him. Cheezy sappy dad talk, I know, but I can't help but love this kid with every fiber of my being, so here I am presenting our story to the STEEMIT world.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Halloween 2015

Thank you all for any and all votes/comments you submit. It took quite a bit of thinking and pride side-stepping for me to even post this, so I hope I'm not crossing any lines with anyone here.

Hey there, nice post. I'm also an at home worker for Apple. I work for one of the sub-contractors and have returned from a two year hiatus. This is my posting of any kind on steemit. Good luck and enjoy your time on the phones.

Hey thanks! And welcome to Steemit!

Hello fellow Apple AHA advisor here! 😉 Welcome to Steemit glad to see you're enjoying life outside of work. I have three kids myself two boys and a baby girl; my son's both love to wear their costumes all year round it's great watching them believe anything is possible. Keep updating and again glad to have you here!

Very cool! I knew there were more of us in here. In fact it was a coworker (@stealthtrader) who led me here. Been loving it ever since!

Yeah I'm into crypto so I traded #bitcoin before #steemit and found it that way and yeah I'm addicted to it just posted a post on how much I've been using Steemit lately compared to Facebook. I'll follow you and keep track of your post always happy to help a fellow colleague. 😉

Your kid is very adorable in that superman suit :) you seem like a nice dad! Good luck dude. My vote won't give you any dollars yet, but I'll do my part and upvote it at least :)

Thank you!

sometimes i use an apple, welcome!

Thank you!

Where was the post that got $200? If you got $200 you should be thrilled not like "that's okay" lol.

Also, I think "if I can help it" usually makes me think you don't want to do something :-)

I WAS thrilled, absolutely! As I said, it makes me want to keep going! And the "if I can help it" isn't to be taken the way you took it. I'm here, right? I've got posts, right? I feel like I'm working on it as best I can. THAT is what I mean by "if I can help it". Trying. I take this site seriously, not something I'm just dabbling in.

If you think it'll help my cause, I've removed that bit from my title. ;-)

Cool, ya, I think it can only help. Good post, I'll give you a vote in a bit :)

Sweet, thank you! :D

You will soon see what Steemit does for you. It is a school of sorts. You engage in so much creativity, that your mind will become overwhelmed with so much thought at times it will want to self destruct,lol...you will enjoy the ride mate for sure. I have a son also and the motivation goes up a notch aswell.

Yeah I've been racking my brain trying to think of content to post. I think I'm starting to zero in on an idea or two. ;)
