Please Help with a Steemit Question

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

The curation rewards (money you see at the bottom of the post/blog from upvotes) is valued in....? Dollars, SBD's, Steem...? I have been searching for an answer to this question.

When I get my "rewards" from a blog, it seems to me that it is between 2.5X and 3X the value. In other words, if the post says $2.00 then when I get paid, it says reward in SBD and reward in SP. When I do the calculation it comes out to an average of 2.5x. Or, a bog that has a value of $2 in curration (upvotes) is worth 2.5 x $2.

Is this right...please help!

The curation rewards are in USD. The system assumes 1 SBD = 1 USD even though SBD are actually worth more, which is why your calculation shows 2.5x value.

Ok. This makes sense. Thank you for this, it really helped!
